Chapter 877

The representative was surprised by Lilyโ€™s direct refusal. "Ms. Christian, why not consider our offer?" The offer was so tempting, heโ€™d expected immediate acceptance. But Lily didn't hesitate. "Thank you, but I won't sell. Goodbye."

She started to hang up, but the representative interjected, "Ms. Christian, we appreciate your perfumes, but even with your talent, you're limited alone. Our company offers the strongest platform, and given your current situation in Hyderland, your future in this industry is uncertain."

"Thank you for your concern, but my company won't need your help. Goodbye," Lily replied, hanging up without further ado.

Olivia looked at Lily in astonishment. "Didn't you even consider it? That was Grandeur, the world's largest perfume brand! I would have jumped at the chance."

But Olivia wasn't Lily. Lily's talent was unparalleled. "We poured countless hours into this themed series," she explained. "I might have considered it before, but nowโ€ฆ what's the point of building this studio if I sell out?"

Lily used to create perfumes purely out of passion, never considering the future. Alexander's guidance and support had shaped her path. But that Lily was gone. She was ambitious, driven to achieve more. She wanted to create not only exquisite perfumes but also her own brandโ€”a brand representing both her and Hyderland, known worldwide.

"I respect your decision, though I think it's a shame," Olivia said after a moment. "By the way, I heard that Tanner boy surrendered, claiming you were involved. I'm worried the policeโ€ฆ"

A siren interrupted. The police had arrived.

Lily smiled calmly. "Don't worry. I've done nothing wrong. Help me with what I asked, and I'll be back soon."

Olivia, initially worried, calmed down seeing Lilyโ€™s composure. "Take care," she said, squeezing Lily's hand. "I'll wait for you."

Lily wasn't worried. She knew about Damian's surrender. The surprise was his implication of her involvement. She didn't know him, so there was no reason to fear. But she wondered why he'd done it. What benefit could it possibly offer him? It seemed a self-destructive act, suggesting he wasn't acting for himself, but for someone else.

Was it Arianna? They were only half-siblings with a strained relationship. Or his father?
