"What's the point of me doing that?" Arianna scoffed. "Don't worry," she continued. "I'm sure he'll show up soon."

"Really?" Joseph's eyes lit up. After all these years, he relied on his daughter, trusting her out of habit.

"Soon, the police will come for him because of the perfume issue. If he's missing, they'll look for him, so don't worry. It doesn't matter whether you report this or look for him. Just wait and see," Arianna said calmly, picking up a document and glancing through it.

That was the truth, but how could Joseph not worry?

"Forget it! I'll look for him if you won't!" He turned and left the office, looking more worn than before. He almost collided with Nathaniel entering the office.

Turning back, Nathaniel asked, "What was that about?"

"Nothing," Arianna said casually. "Where have you been the past two days? I haven't seen you."

"Ms. Tanner, I swear I've been working my *ss off!" Nathaniel grinned, showing no nervousness. "So much has been going on! Lab tests, the media, even looking for that perfumer! I've lost weight!" He pointed to himself, seeking praise. Arianna glanced at him; she knew he wasn't serious. Sighing, she asked, "Have you found the perfumer yet?"

"Nope. That guy knows how to hide. No trace," Nathaniel lamented, clapping his hands.

They implemented their plan. After diverting Damian's attention, they prepared to control the fake perfumerโ€”a man Nathaniel had found through various means. Nathaniel had passed him along through a chain of introductions until he reached Damian.

Damian, new to the business world, lacked experience and understanding of industry practices. He trusted his friend's recommendation, learning too late that friendships could be unreliable. Ultimately, self-interest prevailed.

After so many intermediaries, the perfumer's original source was untraceable. Even if Damian found the friend who introduced him to the fake perfumer, he couldn't identify the mastermind.

The fake perfumer disappeared after the chaos, forfeiting his security deposit and vanishing without a trace. His belongings were gone, but whether he ran away was uncertain.

If he did run, that was fine. Nathaniel feared the fake perfumer being used against him.

Arianna urged, "We must find him. Even if we can't bring him back, we need his location and must ensure he doesn't talk to anyone."

"Got it!" Nathaniel nodded, understanding the stakes. He looked at the open office door, then approached Arianna from the other side of the table. Bending slightly, he said, "Ms. Tanner, did the old man give you the things? Will your position change soon?"

Even without anyone openly watching, their intimacy was visible from the window. Arianna, noticing this, frowned and leaned back. "Move!"

"Hey, I'm just concerned about youand my future!" Nathaniel backed away, still smirking impertinently.
