Chapter 792
Damian stood numb, cold sweat trickling down his forehead. He was speechless.
"Damian, what's going on? This is slander, isn't it?" Joseph was the first to speak.
Damian nodded quickly. "Yes, it's slander! There's nothing wrong with our perfume. Naomi called yesterday saying she was hospitalized due to allergies, but she didn't mention the perfume. The reports are a fabrication. She must be trying to frame me!"
"Oh? Why would she frame you? Was there a problem between you two?" Donovan asked.
Damian hesitated. "There was no animosity," he finally replied. "Maybe she's trying to blackmail us."
"Then why go to the reporters instead of you? And it's said you sent the media," Donovan's sharp gaze made Damian nervous.
"I sent her some gifts, showing concern. I hired reporters to take photos, showcasing our company's benevolence. Who knew she'd turn on us? Mr. Elm, I'm a victim too!"
Donovan sneered. Turning to Joseph, he asked, "Mr. Joseph, do you think I'm singling Mr. Damian out?"
Joseph shivered, shaking his head. "No! Of course not! You're always objective. Mr. Damian, the priority isn't whether she framed you, but restoring the company's reputation and minimizing losses." He tapped his fingers on the table nervously. "I've already dispatched someone to stop the spread and question Naomi."
"This is your solution?" Damian challenged.
Donovan raised an eyebrow, his disdain evident.
Joseph's back was damp with sweat. He'd paved the way for Damian, and this was proving disastrous. Donovan's scrutiny made the situation dire.
"I didn't expect this. But if you have a better solution, let's discuss it. It's for the company's benefit," Joseph said.
Damian, realizing he couldn't control the situation, decided to cooperate. Tanner Corporation wasn't solely his; they needed a collective solution. He settled back, his anxiety easing. He was ready to observe.
Donovan glanced at Damian, then at Arianna. "Ms. Tanner, your comments?"
