The press conference was scheduled for seven in the evening. Alexander and Lily's plane arrived at three in the afternoon; they immediately proceeded to the company to prepare. Although Jenny and George were aware of the situation, this matter was unusually significant. Therefore, their assistance wasn't required; La Beauté Group headquarters would handle it. All they could do was worry.

Olivia sighed in relief upon seeing Lily and rushed to hug her. "You're back! You've only been gone a short time, and so much has happened! What the hell is going on? You worried me to death! In the recording, did you—" Jenny, beside Olivia, gently patted her shoulder, interrupting. She then motioned for them to speak in the office.

Once inside, Jenny closed all the doors and windows, even drawing the blinds before asking, "What happened in that recording? Is someone trying to frame you?" They would always support Lily, but the voices in the audio were too distinct. It sounded like Lily herself. Jenny and Olivia also questioned whether such a recording could be fabricated.

"No, I did say all that," Lily admitted.

"Don't worry. I'll resolve this."

"Don't worry?! How can we not worry? Do you know how big a deal this is? I heard even Kingsland was notified. The Perfumers' Society will send someone to investigate in the next two days. Why did you say such a thing? Everything was going so well. Why did you lace the materials with poison? Have you lost your mind?" Olivia was distraught. She couldn't comprehend Lily's actions and remained in disbelief, even after Lily's confession. "Why did she have to do that?!"

"There will be a press conference later this evening. I'll explain everything there. You'll understand then." Lily offered a somewhat disapproving smile.

"Why wait? Why can't you tell us now? Don't you trust us?!" Olivia exclaimed anxiously.

Jenny immediately waved her hand. "Enough, Olivia. Lily must have her reasons. I trust you, Lily."

Lily was touched by their trust. "Thank you, guys!" However, more pressing matters demanded her attention. "I'm running out of time. I'm going to the laboratory now. Olivia, come with me. Jenny, I might need your help with some materials." Jenny nodded. "No problem!" Although clueless, she had faith in Lily after knowing her for so long.

Olivia followed Lily, still confused. The incident had caused quite a stir; local news had been covering it for two days, and even people on the street were discussing it. While shopping at the mall, Olivia asked, "Lily, doesn't Mr. Russell usually handle this for you?" She assumed only La Beauté Group's president could manage such a crisis.

La Beauté Group's PR department swiftly resolved the issue within two days. Olivia wondered what a press conference could possibly accomplish.

"I prefer to handle my own affairs," Lily winked playfully. "However, if you're willing to help, I'd be delighted!"
