A surge in refund requests had flooded the company's mall outlets over the past three days. It didn't matter if the items were new, used, or old; customers complained regardless. Mall management had warned La Beaute Group that the stores would be shut down if the problem wasn't resolved quickly.
"Are you serious? Why consult me on this? Is the PR team that useless?" Alexander replied coldly. His coldness stemmed not from a lack of knowledge, but from La Beaute Group's vast global scope and its division of labor. This was a PR nightmare, and the PR team's responsibility. Constant calls to the director would hinder delegation and lead to burnout. Although his tone was cold, he didn't sound angry.
The caller stammered, "T-The PR team started handling it, but since Ms. Christian is involved, w-we wanted your opinion…"
"My opinion?" Alexander laughed coldly. "Since when has the PR team become so lax and hesitant? Handle? Tell me how they plan to handle this."
He knew the PR team wasn't idle, but the caller's hesitation stemmed from Lily's involvement.
"Mr. Russell…" he paused. "The PR team wants to suggest Ms. Christian take a short break. The criticism is intense, and continued work could harm her. We've sent representatives to shopping centers to engage with shoppers and management. We've also contacted departments to test raw materials and publish reliable reports. The media will hold a press conference once the reports are released."
The PR team's proposed solution was, in fact, excellent. Had they not known about Lily's relationship with Alexander, they would have likely blamed her and fired her. Her carelessness was primarily responsible for the damage to the company's image.
"Since you're confident, what are you waiting for? Get it done!" Alexander said, hanging up.
With his approval, they could proceed. After hanging up, Alexander saw Lily staring at him.
"I'll leave for Brown City tomorrow. You should use this opportunity to rest. You must be exhausted," Alexander said lovingly.
"Can I come with you?" she asked unexpectedly. "To the press conference. I want to explain the recording personally."
"The recording…" Alexander had intended to ask her about it but had been sidetracked. "Right, about the raw materials… Is it true you could add something to them?"
