Henry, anxious about Lily's intentions, asked, "What tricks are you playing, little girl?"

Lily smiled faintly, sending a chill down his spine. "What's the rush, Uncle Henry? What are you afraid of?"

Suddenly, a screen projected onto the hall's white wall. The others were surprised Lily had a projector ready. The screen displayed a video. Henry instantly recognized himself making a deal with Nathaniel. Though filmed from a distance, the video was clear enough to show Nathaniel handing Henry something, followed by Henry patting Nathaniel's shoulder.

Cold sweat beaded on Henry's forehead. He hadn't expected Lily to know about his meeting with Nathaniel, let alone possess video evidence. He thought, How is that possible? I went alone and ensured I wasn't followed. There was nowhere to hide! His mind blanked, unable to process his predicament.

The elders began to recognize Henry. "Isn't thatHenry?" one murmured. "Who's the other person? What are they doing?"

Lily smiled and calmly explained, "Everyone saw the footage. One person is Uncle Henry. More importantly, you should see the item exchanged." She zoomed in on the item in Henry's hand—a box.

Henry subtly exhaled. The scented candles were in a box; he could deny their contents.

He tried to shift blame, saying, "I met a friend. You won't reveal his identity? Fine, I will! He's Nathaniel Hall, my niece's ex-boyfriend. He couldn't tolerate her behavior and gave me this evidence—what you all just saw."

He sighed and approached Lily. "Lily, you won't admit to murder, a heinous crime. But confess your mistake, and we'll discuss forgiveness and punishment according to family rules. If not"

Lily interrupted, "Are you saying he gave you the candles? The poisoned candles you used to accuse me?"
