Chapter 594

Noah gestured toward the wall, considering an electric fence. He dismissed the idea as impractical and impossible to install immediately. "Forget it!" he declared. His gaze settled on a large tree. "Get someone to cut this tree down immediately!"

"Mr. Carter?" his subordinate questioned, unsure why Noah wanted the mature tree removed.

"Just cut it down! I don't like looking at it!" Noah snapped. He suspected the Lodge family's abilities were limitedโ€”they couldn't possibly fly. He reasoned Lily must have used the tree to scale the wall last night.

Noah's suspicion was correct, though he was unaware Alexander was nearby in Kingsland. Even ten electric fences wouldn't deter Lily with Alexander's assistance.

Meanwhile, Lily was napping, having scheduled a later appointment to sign a contract and collect goods. Alexander, having ensured Lily's safety, focused on resolving matters in Sapphine. He felt compelled to help remove obstacles from her path.

"Mr. Russell, Mr. Oakley has sent Ms. Oakley abroad; she won't return for several years. We witnessed her boarding the plane," Edward reported. "Should I warn Ms. Tanner?"

Alexander responded coldly, his gaze glacial, "It's fine."

While Arianna's actions resembled Brittany's, there was a crucial difference. Alexander knew of Brittany's longstanding infatuation and, despite his repeated rejections, her presence had shielded him from unwanted attention. He felt partly responsible for her actions and, considering their families' close ties, had shown mercy. Arianna, however, was different. He barely knew her, yet she had exploited Brittany and attempted to seduce him. He found her manipulative and despicable. A warning wouldn't suffice; she deserved a lesson.

"Has Joseph's illegitimate son returned?" Alexander asked. Edward nodded. "Joseph rushed his return. Derrick's ill health and the need for manpower on new projects likely motivated Joseph's decision."

"Good. A family should be together," Alexander remarked, propping his chin in his hand.
