"Okay!" he exclaimed, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her closer. "As long as you're willing to handle it and not complain about the workload, I'll start the paperwork tomorrow."

Feeling his seriousness, Lily countered, "Who would want to do all that? It would be exhausting! The first thing I'd do is sell it! It'd be worth a fortune!"

She squinted, awaiting his reaction. He remained calm, nodding in approval. "All right! We'd get a considerable sum. We wouldn't have to worry about our future, or even our children's. I could travel the world with you. That sounds nice."

Lily was silent for a moment.

"However..." Alexander interjected.

"However, what?" Lily prompted.

"I suggest you don't."

Did he regret it? Lily suppressed a smile, feigning dissatisfaction. "I knew you weren't serious. Just trying to make me happy."

"It's not that I'm reluctant," Alexander explained, shifting uncomfortably after standing for so long. Sitting down beside the bed, he held her hand and pulled her close. "We'd make a lot of money selling La Beauté Group, enough for us and our children, but perhaps not enough for our grandchildren and future generations to live comfortably. I suggest you stay in the company for their sake. If you're tired, I can handle it. The income will continue to flow—that's the long-term solution. What do you think?"

His rational approach quelled her playful mood. She stared at him, surprised. "You're even thinking about our grandchildren?"

"As long as it involves you, it's worth considering," he said warmly, kissing her chin. Each confession left her breathless.

"All right, let's stop talking," Lily said, her cheeks flushed. She shifted to get off his lap and resumed packing. "Let's… do something fun!" With the soft bed behind her, she opened her eyes wide. "Fun?" Alexander, delighted, sprang into action.
