Chapter 501

Once they agreed on their wedding plans, Lily happily prepared. Alexander even forgot about the document he'd wanted to read.

However, everyone knew the La Beauté Group president had a girlfriend; rumors even circulated that she was his fiancée. The reporters' photos, however, were blurry. Because the photos were taken secretly, Alexander happened to be positioned in a way that almost completely obscured the woman. Only half her face was vaguely visible, igniting online speculation about her identity.

After finishing her scene, Brittany received an envelope from her assistant. "Someone sent this," the assistant said.

Brittany glanced at the envelope, seeming to understand. "Okay. I still have things to do, so you can leave. I'll be back later." The assistant nodded, packed up, and left. The envelope contained information from a private investigator she'd hired. Despite the blurry press photos, she had resources.

Brittany had been pondering this since her recent meeting with Arianna, who'd advised, "You have to pursue your own happiness. Giving up now would mean all your past efforts were in vain." All her youth, dreams, and aspirations would be wasted. Even without knowing her rival's identity, she refused to surrender. She wouldn't lose to another girl.

In her car, she hurriedly opened the envelope, revealing photos and a report. She examined the photos first, noting both side and front views of the couple.

Tracing the woman's face, Brittany scoffed. "Nothing extraordinary! She looks like any girl next door! Unremarkable. Even her sweet smile is her only appealing feature!"

Brittany studied the photos, seemingly memorizing the woman's face, before turning to the documents. These detailed the woman's life: education, employment, and family background. However, there was no information about when she met or started dating Alexander. The blurry press photos had hampered the investigator's progress.

With the documents and photos on her lap, Brittany sneered, a burning anger rising within her. The woman was exactly as she'd expected—insignificant. From a typical, lower-class family, she could easily be an extra in films. Nothing special about her, yet she'd taken the man Brittany loved. Even Brandon had told her to give up.

'Are men always so blind?!'

Recognizing the address on the paper as Alexander's, Brittany exclaimed, "'That woman lives there?! How shameless!' To Brittany, such people merely used an innocent facade to climb the social ladder. Fuming, she planned to expose this woman and show Alexander who was truly best for him.

With that, she tossed the documents onto the passenger seat, started the car, and drove to the address.
