Chapter 484

She followed him inside, and Brandon slammed the door shut with a loud bang. Two seconds later, he opened it again and roared at the stunned employees outside, "Don't you need to work? If you're so free, why not work overtime tonight?!"

The employees were speechless. No one dared to look up. They lowered their heads and got to work, or at least pretended to.

Bang!

The office door slammed shut again. The employees outside shrank their necks. The president was in a bad mood; they'd better not cross him.

Brandon was indeed in a foul mood. His reputation was ruined, dragged through the mud. Worse, it was his sister involved; he couldn't scold or hit her. He was furious.

Since things had reached this point, there was no point in hiding it any longer. Brandon told Brittany plainly, "Yes, I went to meet Alexander."

He lit a cigarette and continued bluntly, "Though I didn't see him, only his fiancée." He'd carefully chosen his words, opting for the official term.

Brittany clenched her fists. She had to restrain herself as she said, through gritted teeth, "Are you referring to that seductress?!" Brandon had no doubt that if Ms. Christian were present, Brittany would tear her apart. "Don't say that. They're in love," he subconsciously defended Lily. Lily carried herself well and looked elegant. To call her a seductress was unfair. That's exactly what she is, a seductress! Brittany thought.

"In love? She's clearly a seductress! She trapped my man while I was distracted!" Brittany exclaimed. "Tell me, what's her name? What does she look like? Where does she come from? What does she do? When did she seduce Alexander?"

Brandon took a long drag from his cigarette, then exhaled a plume of smoke. He said quietly, "Brittany, that's enough."

"What?!" Brittany stared at him wide-eyed, as if he'd told a joke. "What did you say?"

"I'm serious. Brittany, listen to yourself. Do you believe the things you're saying? What do you mean by 'trapping your man'? When did Alexander become yours? He's always considered you a sister. You know that, but you refuse to accept it." Brandon rarely spoke to her with such honesty.

He continued, trying to reason with her, "It doesn't matter who she is. If he were interested in you, he would have made a move long ago. He wouldn't have waited for another woman to appear."

Brandon was telling the truth, but Brittany couldn't accept it. Over the years, she'd faced numerous rejections, hitting a wall repeatedly. Still, she never gave up, confident that sooner or later, they would be together. She was the only one suitable for him. No one else was a good match.

That's why Brittany refused to listen to a word Brandon said. She covered her ears, stomping her feet in frustration. "Brandon, are you crazy? I'm your sister! Why are you saying this to me? My biological sister! If you don't help me, who will? Tell me, did that girl offer you something? Are you under her spell, too?"

"You dare say she's not a seductress? If she weren't, would she have you under her spell? She has you wrapped around her finger; you'd rather help her than your own sister?" The more she spoke, the more she suspected something was amiss. That seductress was skilled at charming men, just like in the movies. Brittany was determined to pull the shameless woman off her pedestal.
