Leonel froze, paralyzed by fear. He couldn't believe the vicious words Lily uttered, especially since she smiled while saying them—a chillingly creepy contrast.

Lily continued, "Unfortunately, I lack experience, so I can't control the knife's precision. Would you mind if I botched the job?"

"Don't, don't" Leonel pleaded.

The sunglasses-wearing man's eyes twitched, but he remained defiant. "Do you think we're afraid?"

"Oh, you're not afraid? Good. It's best that way. After all, you're big men, not little girls," she nodded. "By the way, have you heard of prisoner torture methods?" Leonel remained silent. They hadn't, and frankly, they didn't want to hear about it. Lily ignored their unspoken thoughts; she would have ignored any response anyway.

She continued, "A thick hemp rope is tied at both ends, but the person isn't dead. They're still breathing." She shook her head. "I mean, what kind of society do we live in? Men and women are equal, aren't we? If women can endure it, I think big, tough men like you certainly can!" Leonel's terror intensified with each word; he felt close to fainting. Even if he survived, the trauma would likely be lifelong.

Christopher remained immobile and speechless, his face flushed as he struggled fruitlessly against his restraints.

"So, what's your decision? If you haven't chosen, I still have…"

Before she finished, her phone rang. She glanced at it—Christopher's phone. It seemed the other party was arriving, eliminating the need for her call. "Who wants to answer this?" Lily waved the phone between the two men.

Jo remained unresponsive.

Fearful of refusal, Leonel blurted, "I'll answer! Let me do it! I'll do it properly. Don't worry!"

Lily smirked. "Okay. Remember what to say!"

A voice, heavily distorted by a modulator, answered the call.

"How'd it go? Did you jab her yet?" the other party demanded, seeking reassurance.

Lily held the phone, her gaze fixed on Leonel. He leaned in and whispered, "Come quickly! Something's happened!"

"What happened?" the other party responded anxiously.

"The medicine was too strong, the dose too large. She seems… dead!" Leonel panted, his lower lip bruised and bleeding.

"What?!" the other party exclaimed, shocked. "Didn't I say it was a three-day dose? How did you use it all at once? Are you stupid?"
