Mike understood. He only risked this for his son.

Alexander stared intensely. "I understand your feelings, but fighting won't help. They might react drastically." His meaning was clear. Mike clenched his fist, silent.

"Regarding your plan," Cameron said, turning to Lily, "I disagree. You're skilled physicians, working for your country and the boy. But simulating death is too risky, especially after speaking with Dr. Blanc."

He looked at Dominic. "Even though I'm not a professional, we can't risk it, not even with a one-in-a-thousand chance of failure. You know who she is. If she dies, you and Hyderland face unimaginable consequences. Even if Yasmin doesn't actually die, others won't know. What then?" Cameron sighed. "Mr. Dominic, you agree?"

Dominic nodded. "I also oppose it. It's risky, but there's no better option."

"Because there's little you can do!" Cameron stood, voice rising. "I've requested a visit to Yudonia in two days."

Alexander was shocked. "You're going to Yudonia?"

"Yes," Cameron confirmed. "With Queen Yasmin, Prince Ross, and the duke absent, they'll report to her, even though I'll be seeing others. They'll be eager to return, curious about my visit. That's my purpose." He spoke calmly, authoritatively.

The visit was official; he had other business. He didn't need to tell them.

Lily mused, "You're right. That disrupts their plans, forcing them to act."

"No one knows the situation better than I do, and no one can influence Queen Yasmin like I can. Besides," Lily paused, "if she believes in the experiment, she won't harm meโ€”physically, at least."

Whether the queen would keep Lily alive remained uncertain.
