Rhea sounded proud, but Lily looked at her impassively. "Are you done?" she asked.

Rhea looked puzzled. "Get out of my way, then," Lily said, pushing past her and walking away.

Rhea was furious, but powerless. Even with a gun, she couldn't kill Lily. Taking a deep breath, Rhea reminded herself not to get upset; Lily was bound to die. Instead of dwelling on it, she focused on her experiment. After studying the formula repeatedly, she realized it should work, though she needed to adjust the ingredient ratios. Computer analysis indicated the formula could alter the DNA sequence of organisms—a crucial development. Thrilled, Rhea believed she might succeed.

Meanwhile, Lily chose a quiet room for her experiment. After inspecting several, she selected one with a single, easily monitored entrance. While surveillance cameras were present, blind spots existed. It didn't matter; her idea was novel, beyond Yasmin's—and perhaps even other experts’—comprehension. This freedom allowed Lily to proceed as she pleased. She switched on a machine and waited for the necessary herbs.

Mike stood silently at the balcony's edge. Austin, passing by, joined him. Following Mike's gaze, Austin saw nothing unusual in the yard, wondering what held his attention. Alexander, having dismissed most of his household staff after recent events, retained only a few loyal ones.

Austin looked from the yard to Mike, who remained fixed on something unseen. "What are you looking at?" Austin finally asked.

"The cars," Mike replied flatly.

Austin frowned. "The cars?" Several cars were parked in the yard, as always. He couldn't understand Mike's fixation.
