Yasmin likely didn't intentionally hide Nick, unlike Fred, who often worked in secrecy back then.

The guard at Nick's door attempted to stop Lily from entering. Under constant surveillance, she surmised it was a higher-level order relayed through his earpiece.

Nick sat obediently, smiling at her. "Hi, Lily," he said.

"You still remember me?" Lily felt a pang of sympathy.

"Of course," he nodded. She had saved his life in Westwood and helped him extensively afterward. He'd frequently visited her home before his abduction.

"You've been through so much, Nicky," Lily said, noticing his fear. She stepped closer, pulling him into a hug, but he stiffened.

She patted his back gently. "Don't be afraid. You know I'm not the bad guy, right? You used to play with Galen at my house, remember?"

He relaxed slightly. "Lily..."

She caressed his head and guided him to sit, then examined him carefully. "Have they mistreated you?"

He shook his head subtly. Lily realized he might not understand the term.

"I mean, did they hit you, scold you, or bully you?" Though she saw no injuries, his subdued demeanor and dull eyes hinted at trauma. He wasn't as lively as before.

He quietly shook his head again. Though less talkative, he retained his father's sharpness, yet he was tense and guarded. This wasn't typical childlike behavior. She caressed his head. "All right, did you know where you were before this?"

He nodded. "My dad...will rescue us, right?"

Lily paused, taking a deep breath. "You know they're all bad guys, huh?"

He nodded. "Did they catch you too? Aren't you good at fighting? Why did you let them take you? Also..." He paused, looking at her stomach quizzically. "Where's your baby?"
