"Don't talk like that. It's not your style at all," Dominic said, his tone upset.

Lily smiled. "It's not your style to be here, either."

"I..." Dominic stammered, "I'm just here to see what you're up to!"

Lily laughed.

Embarrassed, Dominic waved his hands. "Okay, okay. I only came to see how you were doing. You really enjoy teasing me, huh? Feeling better now?"

"Yeah, I do." Lily sighed, then noticed the needles were still in place and tried to remove them.

"Stay still!" Dominic removed the needles. "I was shocked to learn you suddenly went into a coma. When I heard your heart rate was critically low, I knew..." He paused, glancing at her, unable to finish his sentence.

"How could you do this to yourself?" he scolded, shaking his head.

"You know why I did it."

He snapped, "I don't. You're not Mother Teresa. You shouldn't have gotten involved in the first place!"

Lily couldn't see his face, but she heard the anger in his voice.

"I'm not, but they're targeting me," she said helplessly. It wasn't her fault she was the most suitable candidate for queen, was it?

Dominic fell silent, frustrated at his inability to help. Keeping his head down, he put the needles away. "I've done what I could. Anyway, how did you obtain that item?"

He referred to the drug that could induce simulated death. When Fred had told him about Lily's condition, he'd suspected this. His examination only strengthened his suspicions. Theoretically, the drug induced paralysis and slowed the heart rate, mimicking death. In the past, with less advanced medical technology, it might have been mistaken for actual death. Even now, it would be difficult to diagnose. The doctors were baffled, having never encountered such a case. Having not seen Lily in a while, Dominic had come to confirm his suspicions and check on her.

"I..." Lily began, then noticed something and grabbed his hand. "Let me see your face, Dom." He tried to pull away, frowning. "What are you doing?"
