In the past, Anastasia would become upset when her father left for work. Now, she simply nodded and said, "Go do your thing, Dad. I know they're important."
Cameron looked at her proudly, noting her newfound maturity. "It's okay," he said. "Let's get you home first."
Upon arriving, Cameron waited until his daughter entered the house and closed the door. Just as he was about to leave, Anastasia called out, "Dad!" Seeing her hesitation, he asked warmly, "What is it?"
"I haven't heard from Lily in a long time," she said. "I know Alex said she had something important to do, but I can't shake this feeling she might be in danger. Can you help them, Dad?" Though Anastasia rarely asked for his help, her worry was evident.
Cameron looked at her intently and nodded. "Don't worry. I'll find a way to help. Remember, they're not ordinary people. I'm sure they'll be alright."
Relieved, Anastasia happily went inside.
Cameron watched her go, falling into thought. He knew something had happened to Lily, but lacked the details. His position prevented him from appearing too close to Alexander, limiting his ability to directly intervene. Nevertheless, he knew a face-to-face conversation was necessary.
He restarted the car and soon arrived at Alexander's home. Alexander was waiting. He met Cameron in the courtyard and led him inside.
As they walked, Cameron asked, "Has Rhea caused any trouble?"
"Not really, but she infected herself with a virus," Alexander replied, stating the main issue.
Cameron stopped, turning to look at Alexander. "What?"
"She experimented on herself to force the organization to take her seriously."
"That's insane!" Cameron exclaimed, speechless.
"I've given up on Rhea," Alexander continued. "She not only experimented on me and my daughterโshe also ruthlessly exploited her own parents. Fabian and Maria must have done a terrible job raising her."
"Secretary Rollins," Austin greeted Cameron respectfully, having been informed of the visitor.
Cameron looked him over. "You're here too?"
Austin looked puzzled.
