Alexander leaned back, gazing at the embassy as Mike and Edward watched him. After a moment, he said, "If Lily injured Fred's arm, it suggests she's capable of fighting back, at least for now. Since they need her for the experiment, I doubt they'd harm her beforehand. Even if she dislocated his arm, he couldn't retaliate effectively. We should consider this a positive sign."
Mike scratched his head, unconvinced. "So, what's our next move?" They couldn't simply enter the embassy and search for Lily, nor could they rescue Nick.
"I'll post my men outside the embassy. Instruct your men to monitor all possible escape routes to prevent Lily's relocation," Alexander said, pausing. "I'll devise a plan." The situation was complicated by the individuals involved. Dealing with ordinary businessmen or low-ranking officials would be simpler. However, this wasn't a family or business dispute; Alexander needed to proceed cautiously.
"Their actions threaten the world. We must gather evidence to expose their inhumane experiments!"
After confirming the cleaning crew's departure, Fred instructed his men before heading towards the buildings at the rear. Hidden within the dense vegetation and absent from maps, these structures were inconspicuous. Though not tall, their interiors were lavishly decorated and well-appointed.
Scanning his fingerprint and swiping his access card, Fred entered one of the buildings. He moved swiftly to the innermost room, gesturing, and said, "Your Majesty, I commend your foresight."
The queen washed and dried her hands, her gaze lowered. She appeared almost asleep, were it not for the movement of her hands. Applying a thick layer of hand cream, she then dismissed her attendants with a wave. "Leave us."
Alone, the queen asked, "Fred, what happened to your arm?"
"Lily did this, Your Majesty. Please, don't believe her and let her undermine our trust," Fred pleaded.
"You've served me for years. I know your character," the queen replied calmly. "Have the officers departed?"
"Yes," Fred nodded, relieved. "It's fortunate you relocated her, Your Majesty. Otherwise, they might have found her."
