Spoiled by Mr. Russell, Chapter 2051

In reality, some things were beyond even Lily's control. She had initially hoped to gather information during the delivery, entertaining fleeting thoughts of "Perhaps... If..." However, there were no such possibilities. Lily fainted from the intense pain before giving birth. This delivery was far more arduous than the last.

Upon regaining consciousness, she found herself in what appeared to be a hospital roomโ€”stark white walls, sparsely furnished, and an IV line attached to her arm. She had no memory of her blindfold being removed, though seeing made no difference. "There's nothing here at all," she thought. "It's just another unidentifiable place. More importantly, where are my children?!"

A search yielded no sign of them. Touching her abdomen, she discovered a surgical wound; a cesarean section. Even the slightest movement was agonizing. "Where are my children?!" she cried out, experiencing a panic she hadn't felt in a long time.

"Help!" she thundered. Silence. No response. Previously, her children's presence had provided a measure of calm. Now, alone and ignorant of their fateโ€”their sex, appearance, safetyโ€”she was consumed by fear.

"Help!" she screamed, yanking the IV needle from her arm, ignoring the pain. She knew the organization desired her alive, and her death would serve no purpose. Pregnancy had previously stayed her hand from suicide, but that constraint was now gone. Her desperation finally attracted attention.

She knew they were monitoring her; she knew they would know what she'd done. The door burst openโ€”she had, after all, pulled out her IV and attempted to get out of bed. Two doctors entered, one familiar from prior examinations and message delivery.

"Where are my children? Where are my children?!" she demanded.

"Ms. Christian," he began, "you've just given birth, your body is weak. You need rest!" He sidestepped her question.

Lily ignored him completely. "Where are my children? I'm asking you, where are my children?! If you don't return them, I'll die here! Your boss doesn't want a corpse, does he?!"

She held the needle to her neck. The doctors recoiled. One hesitantly addressed her. "Ms. Christian, some things are beyond our control. Please, don't do this. It's not good for you to stress yourself. Lie down, we can talk."
