Spoiled by Mr. Russell, Chapter 2039

Alexander hadn't slept since Mike's call. Dawn broke as his car arrived at the Moores' house.

"Stay here, sir. Leave it to us," Edward said, glancing over his shoulder. "We'll bring him to you in a flash."

Alexander shook his head. "No, he won't leave with you." He understood Cameron's nature, especially given his current plans. Edward and his men wouldn't succeed without compelling reason. Besides, they had no time to waste.

Finding a mask in his car, Alexander donned it before murmuring, "Let's go."

Edward and two others followed as the quartet headed for the garage. Knowing the way, they quickly reached their destination and silently opened the garage door.

"It's over there," Edward said, opening the door to the secret room. Darkness enveloped the space, obscuring their view.

"Huh?" Edward muttered, cautiously entering. He checked the room, then exclaimed, "It's empty!"

Alexander entered, confirming Cameron's absence. "It could be a trap!" he whispered. "Retreat!"

Edward reacted instantly, escorting Alexander back to the garage. But this time, the garage was brightly lit. Empty, save for Rhea, who sat calmly in a chair, smiling serenely.

"You guys are quick," she remarked, casually examining her nails. "I've been waiting a while."

"Patient of you," Alexander replied, his chuckle cold.

"The feeling's mutual," Rhea chuckled, dismissing his sarcasm. "And I think your mask is unnecessary, Mr. Russell."

She knew his identity. He suspected a trap, but kept his mask on. "Cut to the chase. What do you want?"

Rhea's smile vanished. Looking thoughtful, she said, "I want to collaborate with you."
