However, Lily was shocked when the person arrived. It wasn't the mastermind she'd anticipated, nor some mysterious figure. Instead, a person in a white coat and mask, accompanied by two similarly dressed individuals carrying a medical kit, stood before her. Clearly medics. Lily was horrified. She hadn't expected the organization to be so subtle, sending a doctor and two nurses instead of appearing themselves. She'd lied about premature labor; if she were truly about to give birth, the doctor could help. But he could also expose her deception.

She watched the doctor approach, deciding to remain motionless. As the doctor drew near, they immediately began examining her. The nurses placed a medicine tray down and waited for instructions. The doctor raised his stethoscope, but Lily, upon seeing the equipment, swiftly grabbed a needle, pulling the doctor backward and strangling him. Holding him under her arm, she pointed the needle at him. "I don't need a doctor. Tell your boss to come see me!"

Her speed left everyone but the nurses speechless; their bloodcurdling screams filled the room. The guards, surprisingly, remained calm.

"No! No! No!" the doctor yelled, raising his hands. He hadn't expected this from a pregnant woman.

"Go! Tell your boss I want to see him!" Lily demanded angrily.

She disregarded any language barrier. Over the past two days, she'd observed that those attending to herโ€”at least those who brought her mealsโ€”understood her. Whether through special training or deliberate selection, they comprehended her words. Yet, they remained silent. It felt like a world of silence, driving her toward madness. She had to take a risk.

The bodyguards exchanged glances.

"You shouldn't have to think about it," Lily said coldly. "If your boss doesn't come, I'll stab this needle into his neck and mine. If I die, he gets nothing useful from me."

Lily believed their boss could see and hear her. The monitoring equipment wasn't a prop; though limited, it was advanced, something she understood. The equipment in her room was state-of-the-art, likely not yet publicly available. Ordinary people couldn't afford such technology. Silence fell, then footsteps rushed toward the door, stopping just outside.
