After some thought, Lily asked, "Don't you think you might be wrong, Mike?"

Mike was puzzled. "Why do you care where he kept it before? It's enough to know where it is now. He may have kept it with him, elsewhere, or changed his mind."

"You could be right, but that's not his style," Mike mused, conceding that her point had merit. Still, he remained unsure. "So what are you suggesting?"

"We stick to the plan," Lily replied. "Let's follow what you said earlier."

"Noon tomorrow, then."

Lily nodded, then glanced upward and placed her hand on his shoulder to silence him. Before Mike could turn, he heard a mocking voice from behind. "I didn't know you two were so close. I wonder if Mr. Russell knows about this?"

Rhea's shrill voice made her implication clear. Mike stiffened, turning to face her. "I wonder if the outside world is interested in your faked death."

"Do you think I'd worry about that after showing up?" Rhea snorted indifferently. "I'm afraid the outside world is in chaos now; no one will bother with me."

Mike looked baffled.

"Since you're so resourceful, just ask around," Rhea said, her gaze shifting between them as a suggestive smile played on her lips. "No wonder you stopped caring. It's not that you don't care anymore, but you care about other people now, don't you?"

Mike's face flushed with anger. "Watch your mouth! As a woman, you should know better than to make such accusations."

"Oh, yeah? What have I said? Or are you just being sensitive?" Rhea retorted casually. "You should stop looking for your son. Also, Lily's giving birth soon, and you're going to haveโ€”" Before she could finish, a loud slap resounded.

Stunned, Rhea felt the burning pain on her cheek. Someone had slapped her before she could react. She touched her burning cheek.

"How dare you hit me?" she stared at Lily, disbelief and anger warring in her eyes.

She was shocked; she hadn't even seen Lily move. She'd heard Lily came from a family of kickboxers, but knew little about the art and even looked down on it. Kickboxing is just like herbal medicine. People exaggerate its wonders, but if it were truly amazing, its practitioners would have achieved immortality. If kickboxers were so powerful, martial arts films wouldn't need wires and pulleys. However, when Lily struck her, she saw nothing, only a gust of wind before the pain hit. She would have suspected a hallucination if not for the pain.

"So what if I did?" Lily didn't deny it. "Since you don't know how to speak politely, I'll teach you some manners."

"Lily, don't think I'm no match for you!" Rhea snarled, her teeth clenched. She dared not retaliate, knowing she was outmatched. Any attempt would only humiliate her. Lily offered a cold smile. "Well, I've never considered fighting you. You're unworthy to be my opponent."
