“You mean those groups of losers?!” The man laughed sarcastically, dismissing Mike’s words.

Mike shook his head. “No. I heard a group of professionals has gathered to study this virus. I’m afraid that…”

“Enough with the fear! As you Hyderlanders say, you can’t stay home if you live in fear!” The man snorted, continuing indifferently. “The whole world has been studying it for two to three months. What’s the result? How smart do you think Hyderlanders are? You’re nothing!”

Mike paused. “Don’t forget Lily and Rhea are from Hyderland. We Hyderlanders aren’t as dimwitted as you think. You still need our help.”

The man’s eyes narrowed. “Forget Rhea. Didn’t I ask you to get Lily for me? What have you been doing? If she isn’t working for me, she has no reason to live!”

Before Mike could finish, the man interrupted coldly. “What’s the difference?! Everyone has weaknesses! Doesn’t she have a son? Isn’t she pregnant? A pregnant woman is an easy target. “Hiding?” The man sneered, glancing at Mike.

He clapped his hands. Mike jumped. The door opened, and the click of high heels echoed. He knew who it was.

Rhea entered, hands clasped to her chest, holding a phone. A short video played.

Smiling, she approached Mike, shaking the phone before him. It showed Lily parking a car on a vast lawn before a large house. She carried her child as she entered, but the video ended at the doorway. They hadn’t filmed inside.

“This…” Mike began.

“Your news is so outdated!” Rhea mocked. “Even I easily found she sent her child to a manor near Operose. You don’t know much. Are you clueless, or hiding it?” She turned to the man. “Boss, I told you he’s unreliable!”

“I—I didn’t know,” Mike stammered, dazed. “I’m not hiding anything. Most of my men are abroad. I have few connections here.”

“Where is that place? You have their location and a video; why didn’t you take her son? Are you trying to frame me?” The man looked at Rhea, his tone taunting.
