"Ree, what are you doing here?" Maria asked, surprised, jogging over to Rhea, who frowned. "Why are you guys here?"

"I have something to do," Maria replied. "What about you?"

Fabian cleared his throat. "Likewise!"

Rhea, her gaze fixed on Anastasia, said without looking back, "Tell me. Where is my pen holder?"

Anastasia spread her hands helplessly. "Rhea, I didn't take your pen holder, I swear! I don't even know what it looks like. Why would I take it?"

"God knows why! Who else could it be but you? My mom said you're the only outsider who's been to our house in the last two days!" Rhea accused coldly.

Maria smiled awkwardly. "Tasia, Ree lost her pen holder, and it's important to her. No one else has been around. I don't think you took it, but could you have accidentally brought it home?"

How could Anastasia have accidentally brought it home? "Aunt Maria, I didn't take it. I didn't even go upstairs when I visited. Have you forgotten?" Anastasia said solemnly, her gaze earnest.

"Anastasia, I know you wouldn't lie, but there might be a misunderstanding. When is your father coming back?" Fabian and Maria's real concern was Cameron; the pen holder was a secondary matter, quickly brushed aside.

"My daddy..." Anastasia began, but Rhea interrupted, standing and grabbing Anastasia's wrist.

"Rhea, what are you doing?" Anastasia was stunned, instinctively trying to pull away, but Rhea's grip was firm. Rhea felt Anastasia's pulse for a moment before looking up. "Are you taking the medication Austin prescribed?"

Anastasia pulled her hand back. "I—I am!"

"Bullshit! And they say you never lie!" Rhea scoffed, releasing her. Maria quickly steadied Anastasia, reprimanding Rhea. "Ree, what are you doing? We need to be mindful of our actions at Cameron's." They couldn't afford a falling out with Cameron and needed to treat Anastasia well.

Rhea smirked, unfazed. "Mom! She's lying! She hasn't taken any of Austin's medication!"

"She hasn't?" Maria looked from Rhea to Anastasia, uncertain. "That can't be! Anastasia said she was taking it. And look how much weight she's lost! Ree, look at her complexion! It's all thanks to that miracle doctor I found!"
