Chapter 133
It was an eventful day for Melanie, filled with turmoil and excitement. She initially thought she was about to fall into a bottomless pit, but at the crucial moment, Frank appeared and caught her. On the way back to the hotel, she was so distraught that she didn't resist when Frank took her hand. Silence hung between them, heavy with tension.
Frank led Melanie to the elevator. Once the doors closed, he pushed her against the wall, trapping her. "Mr. Moreau!" Melanie exclaimed. "Melanie," Frank said, grabbing the back of her head, "I did you a huge favor today. Shouldn't you be grateful?"
Melanie tried to speak, but Frank kissed her abruptly. She couldn't breathe, let alone stop him. Her hands on his chest were useless. The elevator dinged, the doors opening to Melanie's floor. Frank immediately pulled back, creating space between them. He stepped aside, allowing her to see the corridor. Without hesitation, Melanie rushed out. As she left, Frank warned, "Melanie, I'm flawed, and my patience is my biggest flaw. I said I'd give you chances, but they're limited. One or two, no more. Tonight is your last chance. Do you understand?"
Melanie remained silent, only turning after the elevator moved. Frank was gone, but his absence offered no comfort. The warmth of his lips lingered, a stark reminder of their unthinkable encounter.
However, Frank's words were paramount. She knew he was serious; he could ruin her or elevate her career. His power in the industry was undeniable.
Melanie knew she wouldn't get another opportunity like this if she refused him again. She was in a dilemma, gently stroking her belly. She didn't know what to do.
Meanwhile, as Lily and Jenny returned to their suite, Jenny's phone rang. "What? Now? Where are they?" she said, glancing at Lily. "Can't Lily and I do this together?"
