Chapter 1220
Lily reflexively pulled her finger, but didn't withdraw it. She gave him a feigned angry look and let him continue. When her finger entered his mouth, she felt his tongue twirl around it, a ticklish yet enticing sensation. Knowing what would follow, she gently shoved him with her other hand. "Cut it out!"
Alexander obeyed, releasing her finger and leaning down to kiss her. Their busy schedulesโchild, work, and myriad responsibilitiesโhad left them little physical intimacy. His caution during her pregnancy had only added to the longing. This kiss, however, ignited their pent-up desires; it was like kindling an uncontrollable fire.
After her first pregnancy, they knew the rhythm. With only two gentle pushes of protest, Lily offered little resistance before surrendering. Their bodies intertwined on the soft bed, undulating like ocean waves. Perhaps heโd held back for too long, or perhaps the mood was simply perfect, but Alexander took his time, his every touch gentle and tender. Their lovemaking lasted a considerable while.
Lily was so weary by the end that she nearly slept in his arms before they finally stopped. Holding her from behind, Alexander inhaled the unique scent of her body, mingling with the day's lingering aromas. He felt utterly satiated.
Hardly able to keep her eyes open, Lilyโs mood had shifted. She wondered, in a hazy state, if she should have refused him, why she felt so exhausted, and if theyโd ever made love for so long. "Are you still tired of me?"
Her confusion cleared as she understood his question. For real? she thought. Heโs genuinely concerned Iโll grow tired of him? No wonder he went to such lengths to please me. He was worried! What a joke! How could I ever tire of him? Heโs the most handsome man on Earth!
But heโs getting pettier lately. Mike, for instance, had merely joked about his son marrying their daughter, yet Alexander had been upset for ages, as if the man had already stolen her away.
Thinking of Mike, she recalled their earlier conversation. A vague unease from earlier now sharpened in her exhausted mind. "Mike didn't mention Blossom this time." She mused, He'd brought it up several times before, wanting to join the project. But it was premature, and considering other factors, I said no. He didn't mention it this time, though. I doubt he's given up; he doesn't quit easily.
Receiving no reply, Lily assumed Alexander had fallen asleep. He was just talking to me. Did he overexert himself? A sudden, sharp pain in her shoulder jolted her. She glanced back, exasperated, to find him staring with bright eyes. "Why did you bite me? You think you're a dog?" "Serve you right!" he retorted, sounding entirely justified. "How could you think of other men at a moment like this?"
