Chapter 1203
"Not long ago," Lily said, "after all, you two are so alike."
"Since that's the case," Heather questioned, "how did you notice our differences?" No one had ever noticed their differences, or even that they were two separate people.
Lily tilted her head, scratching it thoughtfully. "How should I put it? As a kickboxer, I know we can't entirely conceal our vitality. Your sister can't fight at all, can she?"
"You're right," Heather conceded. "She's always been weak. It took a long time for her health to reach a normal level."
"Therefore, differentiating between you two was easy," Lily explained. "It's just that I wasn't familiar with you then; your appearances, demeanors, and habits were too similar." The memories were hazy, blurring Heather and Hannah together.
However, their hotel meeting allowed Alexander and her to confirm their suspicions. Seeing them together with Ralph made the distinction clear.
"You have no feelings for Uncle Ralph, do you?" Lily asked directly.
Heather coughed before replying, "Not at all. He's been my most intimate partner, but men are merely tools for bearing children and continuing the family line. They're useless to me, hindering my kickboxing." She rubbed her temples, narrowing her eyes at Lily. "That's why I'm confused. Why bear a child for Alexander? Without pregnancy, you could've achieved far more in kickboxing than I have."
Heather had fought Lily before, even while Lily was pregnant, resulting in a draw. This suggested Heather couldn't beat Lily even without the pregnancy. She couldn't fathom Lily abandoning her kickboxing talent; Heather believed Lily could have become legendary. That was Heather's lifelong dreamโa dream Lily seemingly disregarded.
"I'm not that interested in kickboxing," Lily shook her head. "My grandfather forced me into it when I was younger. I stopped once I grew up."
Lily's passion lay in fragrances. Her obsession with perfumes and their ingredients was innate, something Heather understood. "You're passionate about fragrances. Won't pregnancy hinder your career? Why stop to give birth? Why not keep pushing forward? Is anything more worthwhile than achieving your dreams?"
Heather's patience was unusual; she genuinely didn't understand. Without the drastic changes in their lives, she wouldn't have bothered discussing this with Lily, whom she somewhat despised. Hannah had no talent, but Lily possessed both the aptitude and skill. Why didn't she strive harder?
"We simply have different ambitions," Lily replied, gently rubbing her belly. "I don't see childbirth conflicting with my career or hobbies." Her child was now active, stretching and kickingโa magical feeling.
