Chapter 1135

"It's you! It must be you!" Ralph's eyes blazed with insane red. "I'm afraid most of you have conspired with Alex! You all came here to make a laughingstock of me. I knew it! You're all here to frame me!"

Alexander, who had remained silent until now, spoke. "Stop deceiving yourself, Ralph. You accuse others, but what about Grandma? Look at her carefully. Others might betray you for profit, but would Grandma? Everyone knows how she has favored you since childhood. How dare you suggest it was all fake? Do you think Grandma would frame her beloved son for wealth and power? You're insulting her!"

Ralph fell silent, his yelling abruptly ceasing. He stared at Margaret, trembling. "Why?" he whispered, his voice laced with confusion and self-doubt. He seemed to question his mother, himself, and everyone present.

"What the hell is going on?" someone murmured.

Everyone had seen the DNA report, understanding the implications. They knew Ralph wasn't Margaret's son; he wasn't even a Russell. But why couldn't Margaret recognize her own son after years of spoiling him? No one dared ask; Margaret was too distraught. She trembled and wept before collapsing from the stress.

"Margaret!" "Ma'am!" "Mom!" "Grandma!"

Panic erupted. The crowd rushed to Margaret's side, summoning a doctor.

Alexander instructed Lily to care for Margaret before announcing, "Let's end this here. Everyone is tired from the trip. Let's wait for Grandma to recover before we discuss this further. Now is not the time."

The others, unable to press further, dispersed. Although Ralph was Margaret's favored son, he held no authority over the Russells or the company. His status, therefore, wouldn't significantly impact the family. However, Alexander's lack of blood relation to the Russells would have far-reaching consequences.

As everyone left, hushed conversations filled the air. Ralph was destined to become the family's laughingstock. His hypocrisy was undeniable; he'd insisted that non-blood relatives should inherit nothing from the Russells, a bitter irony given the current situation.

Ralph stood at the room's far end, gazing at his mother. The sight was both familiar and alien, leaving him deeply conflicted. On one hand, Margaret had loved and spoiled him for years. Yet, she had just pushed him into ruin. If she hadn't revealed the report, feigned ignorance, and aided his scheme, everything would be different. Instead, he'd become a joke, betrayed by the one person he'd trusted most.
