Listen to this chapter:

Delilah wore a serious expression and said, โ€œYour proposal is worth pursuing. It will also serve as the first collaborative experiment in our joint research.

โ€œIf successful, we will be able to fully initiate the second phase of our study ahead of schedule.โ€

Josieโ€™s proposal received support. Without delay, following the summary meeting, members of both project teams went together to the laboratory.

Shortly after they went to the laboratory, the door of the adjacent meeting room also opened, and a group of people with somber expressions emerged.

David walked at the front, followed by several of his students.

After they had walked some distance, several senior researchers who had joined because of Davidโ€™s reputation whispered together behind them.

One of them said, โ€œProfessor Lawson isnโ€™t nearly as impressive as the rumors claim.

โ€œItโ€™s been quite some time since the first phase of research ended, yet the methodology is still just a general overview. There is no way we can get any actual research results!โ€

Another person said, โ€œThe success of his general idea is still uncertain. It is merely an idea and has not yet been validated. It is also unclear when it might be applied in experiments.โ€

Someone else said, โ€œIf this continues, how can the research progress?

โ€œIt appears we have overestimated him. In hindsight, it would have been more effective for us to conduct the preliminary research ourselves. This might have even accelerated the overall progress.โ€

As the researchersโ€˜ complaints began to surface, Audreyโ€™s gaze darkened.

She said, โ€œThe research has only just started. Why are you so negative about its future already? Whether Professor Lawson is impressive or not, letโ€™s just wait and see.

โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong with giving a general introduction? Itโ€™s still better than not being able to provide anything at all!โ€

She threw out these words, turned, and went back to the office.

She thought, โ€˜It is fortunate Jeremyโ€™s team has not yet reported any research progress. If they took the lead, I would really lose face.

โ€˜This matter cannot be delayed. I must follow up with David again.โ€™

Chapter 276:

The project she signed for had already failed to satisfy the director. If she continued to produce no achievements, her tenure as deputy director would come to an end.

Audrey had just stood up when Kyle Langton knocked and entered.

He said, โ€œMrs. Kinberg, I heard that your meeting mentioned a research overview.

โ€œIโ€™ve put together some notes here that are somewhat similar to that overview. Iโ€™m not sure if they could help.โ€

He handed his notebook to Audrey. Audrey had not intended to pay him any attention. She merely cast a casual glance at his notebook.

She asked, โ€œWhere did you obtain these notes? Has this research methodology been experimentally validated? Is it feasible to implement?โ€

Kyle shook his head and said, โ€œThese are my previous lecture notes. I have conducted related experiments while at school.

โ€œHowever, this research methodology is something I have just organized and have not yet had the opportunity to test.โ€

โ€œFollow me.โ€ Audrey put away the notebook and gave him a brief, indifferent glance. It was impossible to tell whether she believed him or not.

Kyle, somewhat nervously, briefly gripped his fingers and strode to catch up with Audrey.

He came across this set of research methods by chance not long ago while organizing materials for Jeremy.

He believed that they were proposed by Joseph.

At that time, Jeremy withheld his signature from Josephโ€™s application form.

Over the past few days, Kyle had been observing the experiments conducted by Jeremyโ€™s team. It appeared that their research methodology had been approved.

The researchers in Jeremyโ€™s team were not as capable or well-known as those in Audreyโ€™s team.

As long as Audreyโ€™s team used this research methodology, Kyle believed that Audreyโ€™s team would inevitably achieve research results ahead of Jeremyโ€™s team.

At that time, he felt that no one would investigate the origin of this research methodology. As long as their research succeeded, he would be regarded as the hero.

Chapter 276:

Kyle thought, โ€˜With this research method, I believe I will be able to join the team now.

โ€˜As long as I am able to join the team, the day the team achieves research success will also mark the day I can get a spot at the institute permanently!

With this idea in mind, Kyle happily followed Audrey to the laboratory.

In the laboratory, David looked at Gavin with a stern face.
