Chapter 261

Aiden and company turned sullen at once.

They had to hand it to Josie. She had already affixed the red labels earlier. No wonder she was so confident that she brought her whole gang here to claim all the folders with the red labels. This woman was so calculating that when she was gathering materials for the team, she even segregated her own efforts from the rest by meticulously recording her own contributions.

At this juncture, Aiden dragged Natalie to his side. โ€œProf Lawson has already said she can take her stuff. Why are all of you making a scene here? Step aside and let them take their stuff.โ€

Josie folded her arms and took a step back. โ€œNow you allow us to take them? Too late! As I said earlier, these folders must be picked up in the same order in which she threw them. Then she can either put them back on the shelves, or hand them to us one by one personally. Otherwise, I will summon the entire faculty and all the students here to see the conduct of Professor Lawsonโ€™s team members.โ€

Allison Parker also piped up indignantly, โ€œYeah! Why are all of you so worried about Josie taking her materials away? Are you guys planning to use her stuff?โ€

Jaden had to speak his mind again. โ€œNonsense! We do not need her stuff at all. Move everything out now!โ€

Josie couldnโ€™t even be bothered with this jerk anymore and instead glared frostily at Natalie. โ€œWell? Pick them up!โ€

โ€œIโ€ฆโ€ Not surprisingly, Natalie was not willing to do it. She was about to leave when Aiden held her back. โ€œPick them up, and do it quickly. I donโ€™t want Prof Lawson to see this mess!โ€

Fearful that the professor might get mad again, Natalie had no choice but to do it, no matter how much she resented it. There was nothing she could do since David had already given his permission to let Josie take these materials.

โ€˜Damn you, Josie Pearson! Youโ€™re downright shameless. The grudge between us just got deeper. Just you wait!โ€™ Natalie swore under her breath.

When they left the archive room, Josie and her friends were carrying stacks of folders piled up high in their arms.

โ€œJosie, where do you plan to store all these materials?โ€ Claire Wilcourt happened to flip through a few pages and discovered that the materials included not only content related to cytology, but also covered other medical specialties.

Josie simply shrugged. โ€œI havenโ€™t decided yet. For now, letโ€™s keep them in our own archive room. Everyone is welcome to look through them.โ€

Colby surveyed the folders. โ€œI wonโ€™t hold back then. These materials you gathered are truly good stuff. Thanks to those sets of mock exam papers you gave me, I was able to rise to the top of the cohort. I must really thank you!โ€

Zoey concurred with a laugh. โ€œYeah! The revision materials you recommended to us previously really helped us a lot. Nearly all the members of our dormitory improved their exam scores this time.โ€

The group headed down the corridor, chatting and laughing along the way. As there were so many of them carrying so much bulky stuff, they attracted many peopleโ€™s attention.

A clueless student began asking, โ€œThe term has just started, and they are already planning an event? How come I didnโ€™t receive any notification?โ€

โ€œWhat event? Do they look like theyโ€™re going to some event?โ€ someone retorted.

โ€œNo event? Then why are the second and third-year post-grads hanging out with the fourth and fifth-year undergrads?โ€ That clueless student asked again.

โ€œBet you didnโ€™t know this. I heardโ€ฆโ€

Along the corridor, students gathered in small groups and began gossiping about a certain shocking incident.

And that was how Professor David Lawson lost a bet to his student, and as a result, that student got to take almost all the research materials from his archive room.

The rumor became more and more exaggerated until the final version simply stated that David Lawson had lost to Josie Pearson and had to let her and her team members empty his archive room.

Another student asked, โ€œDoes this mean that Josie Pearson still has not given up the cytology course?โ€

โ€œOtherwise, why would she go to such lengths to empty her former mentorโ€™s archive room?โ€

The rumor mill went into overdrive again. This time, people were saying that Josie Pearson had gone too far and should not have done that to her ex-mentor. Since she left the team voluntarily, what right did she have to clear out the former teamโ€™s archive room? What on earth was she up to?

The more inquisitive ones began probing. โ€œProf Lawson lost to his own student? What was the bet about?โ€

โ€œYeah, what were they betting? And how on earth did a professor lose to his own student?โ€

โ€œCould it beโ€ฆโ€
