The Reedshaw family and the Clem family were not that close. Being in different fields, they rarely interacted, not to mention bringing along an unfamiliar junior schoolmate for a visit.

Sean replied with a solemn expression, his demeanor exceptionally serious. “When my grandpa passed away, you sent a custom-made needle case. We have never had the opportunity to thank you for this thoughtful gesture.”

At the mention of Leo, a hint of wistfulness appeared in Lindsey’s eyes.

Leo was a rare and outstanding physician, as well as an accomplished practitioner of traditional medicine. “There is no need to thank me. I have a problem with recurring headaches, and it was always your grandfather who administered acupuncture for me. His acupuncture techniques were exceptional, and his medical expertise was profound. Thanks to him, my headaches have not recurred over the years.

“It’s just a pity…” Lindsey waved her hands and said.

After Leo passed away, she no longer knew who to ask for acupuncture.

She did not trust acupuncturists from outside, and as for the Reedshaw family, she was afraid no one was willing to condescend to help a merchant with a headache.

“When Grandpa performed acupuncture for you, the points he chose were…” Josie explained and indicated each acupoint on her own body as she spoke.

After she finished speaking, those who were present were stunned.

Sean could not quite describe what he was feeling. Others were unaware, but he knew clearly that Josie’s explanation of the acupoints was flawless, and even the placement of her fingers was perfectly accurate.

If pointing out the acupuncture technique for treating stomach ailments before Jaden’s eyes previously was merely a stroke of luck, then now he could be certain that Josie was genuinely making a serious effort to study acupuncture.

She did not just study theoretical knowledge to obtain the graduation certificate, but also mastered practical techniques precisely.

“Josie?” Lindsey carefully examined the young girl before her, noting her bright demeanor, and asked, “Are you well-versed with the Reedshaw Acupuncture Technique?”

Josie shook her head and said, “I can’t say I’m well-versed; I’m still learning. It’s my field of study, and I’m grateful that Delilah has always guided me patiently. I’m learning it seriously.”

“How long have you been learning?” Lindsey asked.

Josie looked slightly embarrassed and said, “A few months.”

“So short!” Lindsey’s eyes darkened, her face full of disappointment. “Do you know how to handle a needle?”

Josie knew that Lindsey did not think highly of her. “Yes, my instructor has let me do hands-on practice. Now, in the hospital, I sometimes perform acupuncture on patients with mild conditions,” Josie said.

“So irresponsible!” Lindsey said with a furrowed brow. “Are you not concerned about tarnishing Leo’s reputation?”

Sean was slightly annoyed and was about to speak, but Josie touched his hand.

“I’m not irresponsible,” Josie said, smiling.

“Although I’m not considered outstanding and have not studied the Reedshaw Acupuncture Techniques for long, I have thoroughly learned and mastered each set of acupuncture techniques. Only after extensive and repeated needling practice did I perform acupuncture on patients.

“My teacher is a highly responsible teacher and physician. She would never treat a patient’s body as a joke, nor would she ever treat the Reedshaw family’s reputation as a joke.

“Ms. Clem, may I ask if I made any mistake in the acupoints I just mentioned?” Josie said.

Lindsey thought carefully before saying, “No, you didn’t. However, theoretical knowledge does not equate to practical skill. If everyone who could memorize texts were able to learn the Reedshaw Acupuncture Technique, it would not be on the verge of extinction.

“Young lady, am I correct in what I said?” Lindsey asked.
