Jaden ignored Sean, glared at Josie, and said, “I had always thought you were a principled young woman, wholly devoted to your studies and unfamiliar with social conventions. That was why, back then in the team, I protected you in every way, not to let you be bullied.

“But after thinking about it, I still don’t feel like explaining, because I really hate you and want to curse you.”

Josie helped Sean pick up the items from the ground and said, “How I suck up to the Reedshaw family is none of your damn business. Get out of my face. From now on, whenever you see me, you’d better go the other way.

“I don’t give a damn about your status, and I don’t need you to tell me what to do.”

Strictly speaking, this was the first time Josie had truly scolded Jaden. Although her remarks had been harsh previously, she merely maintained a cold demeanor and did not get angry. This time, however, was different; she was obviously furious.

‘Exactly, that’s the case. Josie will never give up such an outstanding boyfriend to pursue another man. After all, Ian doesn’t have my status, and Sean couldn’t possibly be interested in her.

‘Other than myself, Josie has no other choice,’ he thought.

At the entrance of the Clem family residence, Sean and Josie were waiting for the door to open.

“You’re not a mere plaything of passing interest.” Sean took the bag away from her hand and said, “I also won’t let anyone bully you; I’ll always protect you.”

Josie nodded and said, “I know. You’re nothing like the kind of person Jaden described. Moreover, I am so well-behaved. I certainly would never cause you any trouble.”
