Josie picked up the whistleblowing materials again.

The material indicates that she exhibited improper conduct from an early age. As an orphan, she was compelled to rely on selling her body for survival. In order to attend university, she engaged in sexual relations with numerous men in her village.

What’s more, the village party secretary supported her over an extended period.

After entering university, in order to sustain her livelihood, she also engaged in ambiguous relationships with numerous wealthy men. It states that she was presently having an affair with Jeremy.

‘Did the man who prepared these whistleblowing materials forget to use his brain?’ Josie thought bitterly.

Josie laughed angrily. "If I can prove that these are slander, can I sue the other party and request that the school take disciplinary action?”

“Certainly.” Hadley nodded. “To be honest, I don’t believe the contents. But since someone has reported it, we have to investigate. I hope you can understand.”

Josie nodded. “I understand. Would it be possible to give me a few days?”

“What do you intend to do?” Hadley furrowed his brows and said, “We must not engage in any illegal activities.”

Josie couldn’t help but laugh. “I wouldn’t commit a crime over something so trivial. I’m not that foolish. Rest assured, I won’t act recklessly. I simply want to prove my innocence.”

Upon leaving the Department of Student Affairs, Josie felt a chill run through her entire body. She thought the rumors about her were already in the past and would never happen again in this life. Yet unexpectedly, it had happened again.

In her previous life, Kyle was the one behind it all. If Josie was not wrong, the whistleblowing materials she just saw were likely also his work.

Another student whispered, “I heard it was Josie?”

“Oh, so it’s her. Didn’t they say she’s quite capable? Didn’t she just win the First Prize in the school competition recently?” Another student chimed in.

A scoff could be heard, “Who knows if there’s something shady going on here? After all, she slept with the professor…”

“Shut up, all of you,” Allison’s lips trembled with anger. “Josie is not that kind of person. She’s just minding her own business and studying. Has she ever provoked any of you to deserve such slander?”

The students, who had originally gathered together to gossip, quickly dispersed in all directions when Allison shouted at them.

A student snapped back at her in a defiant manner, “How is this slander? There is no smoke without fire. If she were truly that well-behaved, why would Professor Jeremy cooperate with the Department of Student Affairs in this investigation? I think there’s no doubt that she slept with the professor!”

“That’s bullshit!” Allison stepped forward and slapped the girl. “If you have the guts, come with me to the Department of Student Affairs and clear this up. I want to see who still dares to spread rumors about Josie.”

The student was stunned by the blow. Once she regained her senses, she rushed toward Allison.

However, she was seized by Adeline, who said, “Come with us to the Department of Student Affairs. I want to ask whether the school will address students like you who make reckless accusations.”

The student, eyes reddened with anger, snapped, “Fine! I’m not afraid of you! I’m not the only one talking about it anyway. Why are you only punishing me?”

“Because you were the only one who actually used the words ‘sleep together!’” Josie walked over.
