Chapter 138

Aidenโ€™s expression was grave. โ€œWe may have misunderstood her before. In fact, she has always been diligent. If the professor hadnโ€™t asked me to organize her experimental data and papers this time, I wouldnโ€™t have known how much effort she put in before.โ€

โ€œExhausting?โ€ Natalie looked utterly shocked, inwardly fuming and cursing up a storm. โ€œWhat exactly had Josie been doing before this?โ€

Vincent turned the notebook around and said, โ€œDuring her time with the team, she participated in more than two hundred experiments in total. Each experiment has complete experimental data records, andโ€ฆโ€

Gavin finished supplementing Vincentโ€™s statement by saying, โ€œFurthermore, after each set of experiments, she wrote a corresponding experimental paper.โ€

โ€œNo wonder she always looks as if she hasnโ€™t slept,โ€ Jaden was also somewhat surprised. โ€œSo she used to be this busy, yet I kept scolding her!โ€

Vincent looked even more remorseful. โ€˜If I had known earlier, I would not have asked her to prepare so much material for me; many things I should have done myself.โ€™

โ€œYes!โ€ Gavin was also shocked and could not calm down for a long time. โ€œI just skimmed through her thesis and found that all of it was quite good, evenโ€ฆโ€

Some of these arguments are even more profound than theirs, but Gavin could not bring himself to say so.

Natalie was on the verge of collapse. She had returned to school eagerly, intending to witness Josieโ€™s embarrassment and see her punished by the school, not to watch Aiden and the others engage in self-reflection and remorse.

โ€œAiden, what exactly is going on here? These materials Josie has always put in the team database. Are you saying none of you were aware of this before?โ€ Natalie was at a loss for words.

Aiden shook his head. โ€œI thought she was only responsible for recording some experimental data. Although the folder bears her name, there probably wouldnโ€™t be much inside. I have never clicked in to look closely.โ€

If David had not asked him to organize the materials left by Josie, he would not have known that there was a complete experimental paper.

What shocked him even more was that he had originally sought out Vincent and Gavin to find out if they had actually helped with the paper that had embarrassed Kyle.

Not only did he fail to obtain the answer he expected, but he also realized that Josie seemed to have always done too many things for everyone, things that have always been overlooked by them.

Her capabilities extend far beyond what they have observed!

โ€œIโ€™ve said before, sheโ€™s always been a hardworking girl. Sheโ€™s remarkable!โ€ Vincentโ€™s eyes grew slightly red. He felt some regret for the harsh words he had spoken to her before.

Natalie was furious. Why? Why was it that after only three days away from school, these idiots had once again shifted their attention to Josie? โ€œThat bitch is truly sneaky, always worming her way into every possible opportunity to make a comeback!โ€

She would never allow such a thing to happen. Natalie softened her tone. โ€œJosie is outstanding. This is a good thing. It shows that our professor is excellent, and you are also impressive. Since everyone misunderstood her before, should we go and apologize to her again?โ€

Upon hearing these words, Kyle felt a chill run through him.

He had previously questioned Josieโ€™s abilities in front of Aiden, merely to find a way out for himself. He had no idea that Aiden would seek confirmation from Gavin and Vincent.

Aiden had never paid any attention to Josie. In fact, he used to treat her the worst. Why was he suddenly showing such concern now? What was his intention? He somewhat regretted having spoken out of turn.

In any case, Josie must avoid further contact with the team for now; otherwise, all of his cover-ups will be completely stripped away by her. He did not want to be looked down upon by everyone in the team!

โ€œLet me go. This matter arose because of me, so it is only appropriate that I apologize to her. If not for my mistake, the professor would not have been embarrassed in public. It is entirely my fault.โ€

Kyle lowered his head, wearing an expression that conveyed his apology to everyone.

โ€œWhy is there still something about the professor?โ€ Natalie felt as if her heart were being scratched by a cat; she was desperate to know what had happened in the past few days. โ€œKyle, what did you do that caused the professor embarrassment in public? Did you upset Josie again?โ€
