Chapter 593

โ€œThatโ€™s exactly how it is,โ€ Stephanie said. She thought, โ€˜Only Olivia would be willing to put on a wedding dress for Chris. Who in Long Harbor would want to marry him now?โ€™

After much persuasion, Michael finally believed it. But he still huffed proudly, โ€œTry running away again. I will break your legs.โ€

Stephanie thought, โ€œThat sounds just like something Sebastian would say. Well, Michael brought him up. Itโ€™s no wonder Sebastian picks up his habits.โ€

โ€œOkay, donโ€™t scare Stefi.โ€ Beth pulled Stephanie over to sit down. Michael didnโ€™t say anything else. The questioning was finished.

Beth looked at Stephanie with a loving smile and asked, โ€œAre you feeling uncomfortable now that youโ€™re pregnant? Being pregnant can be a bit tough for women.โ€

Stephanie replied, โ€œItโ€™s not hard at all, Beth.โ€ But actually, it was tough. Lately, everything Stephanie ate made her throw up, and even the foods she used to love made her feel sick just thinking about them. What annoyed her most was seeing certain things that made her nauseous. They were perfectly normal things, but Stephanie couldnโ€™t stand them. Not wanting Beth to worry, Stephanie didnโ€™t tell the truth.

Over here at the hospital, Sofia sat indifferently in the chair next to the hospital bed. Her face still had bruises from the beating. Sofia thought, โ€˜Dan, that jerk. He hit hard. The scene was beyond words; even Richard got hit a few times. The people Dan sent this time were elite fighters.โ€™

Dan was sitting on the hospital bed, holding a bowl and eating oatmeal. Since Sofia arrived, neither of them had said a word.

Finally, Sofia couldnโ€™t hold back anymore. She stepped forward and knocked the bowl right out of Danโ€™s hands. With a loud thud, the bowl ended up all over his chest. The half bowl of oatmeal spilled directly onto his chest, soaking into the blanket. Dan looked icily at Sofia, a cold glint in his eyes.

Sofia wasnโ€™t afraid of him either. She dusted off her dirty hands and said, โ€œStop eating.โ€

โ€œWhat do you mean? Isnโ€™t my time valuable? Do I have to wait for you to finish eating? Who do you think you are?โ€

The thought of what Dan did in Sandara made Sofiaโ€™s blood boil. She thought, โ€˜A jerk. And he wants me to pay? Itโ€™s impossible.โ€™

Sofia sat back in her chair and tidied up her messy clothes. โ€œSo, how are we going to settle this? Come on, get to the point.โ€

Sofia thought, โ€˜If the terms are good, it depends on my mood. If not, and I get upset, I promise Iโ€™ll give him a lesson.โ€™

Sofiaโ€™s casual yet indifferent demeanor made the cold glint in Danโ€™s eyes even more icy. A faint, cold smile appeared on his lips. โ€œSo impatient?โ€

Sofia retorted, โ€œLetโ€™s see how patient you are when your wedding gets interrupted like this.โ€

The word โ€œmarriageโ€ made Danโ€™s already icy eyes even colder, and he let out a mocking laugh. โ€œMarriage? Are you going to marry Richard?โ€

His cold tone carried a sharp question. At this moment, Danโ€™s tone was laced with a hint of danger.

Sofia raised an eyebrow. โ€œWhat do you mean? You forgot about me, and Iโ€™m supposed to stay single for you my whole life? Get over yourself.โ€ She didnโ€™t bother to hide her distaste.

Hearing this, Danโ€™s breath turned even colder. Before he could reply, Sofia continued, โ€œOr tell me, how many women stay single for a man their whole life? And is that man even worth it?โ€

The last words left Sofiaโ€™s lips heavily, tinged with sarcasm. She wasnโ€™t sure if the sarcasm reminded Dan or herself, but probably more herself.

Dan heard this and paused briefly, his expression changing slightly. He looked at Sofia without saying a word.

Sofia met his icy gaze. โ€œWhat? From your act, it doesnโ€™t seem like you have amnesia.โ€
