Chapter 424

In the study, Sebastian took out a cigarette, lit it, and threw the pack to Job. Job caught it and took out a cigarette for himself. Sebastian took a drag of his cigarette. “The Garcia family can disappear for all I care.”

Hogg paused as he was about to light his cigarette. He knew it. Earlier at the mall, Sebastian was just indulging Stephanie, so he didn’t say anything. Sebastian didn’t need Mayra’s money; he wanted them to go bankrupt. All of Stephanie’s assets in Long Harbor, including Skyriver Travel and that luxury mall, were managed by Hogg. And soon, the studio, too.

At first, Stephanie had planned to hand over her studio to Ella, but Ella ended up going to Fiorenza. Still worried about the studio staff, Stephanie left everything to Sebastian to take care of.

“Got it,” Hogg nodded. He thought for a moment, glanced at Sebastian, and said, “Actually, Stephanie hasn’t been wronged much in Long Harbor these past two years.”

When Hogg arrived, Stephanie had already woken up from her coma and was out of the hospital. Since then, the Hart family had been in chaos. Back when Stephanie lashed out at Olivia, Olivia almost begged on her knees. If Olivia hadn’t left Long Harbor at that time, she’d be in real trouble!

Sebastian flicked the ash off his cigarette, eyes narrowed. “Their presence is making her feel wronged.”

Hogg felt Sebastian’s words made sense. Just thinking that her own family could be such bad people would surely upset Stephanie. The Garcia family was definitely in trouble. They learned a lesson at Mount Spring last time but didn’t take it to heart. This time, their outcome was all too predictable. Especially this time, they’ve offended not only Stephanie but also Allison, someone whom the entire Lewis family disliked, yet Yanis cherished all these years.

In the car, Yanis made a phone call with a clear purpose. Before he hung up, he said, “Within a week, I want to hear the news of the Garcia family’s bankruptcy.”

Allison was shocked. Yanis hung up and swiftly wrapped his arm around Allison’s waist, pulling her into his embrace. Allison felt dizzy. “What are you doing? Can you stop surprising me every time?”

His eyebrows twitched slightly as his well-defined fingers lifted her chin and kissed her assertively. Allison wanted to escape, but couldn’t. Their warm breaths mingled. His voice was low and raspy. “Still not used to it after all these years?”

Allison squirmed a little, making soft noises. Yanis held her still. “Don’t move.”

Allison froze. He finally released her, resting his chin on her shoulder. “Allison, I just got some news,”

Her breath hitched at the words, and her body instantly tensed. Yanis straightened up and lifted her chin, making her meet his gaze. Allison couldn’t read the emotions and secrets hidden in Yanis’s deep eyes. “Wha–what news?”

“You’ve seen Xayvion.”

Hearing this, her breath caught. Yanis felt her body tense quickly, and his grip on her chin tightened slightly. “What did he say to you?”

Xayvion Brooks was the man Yanis never wanted to see again. Many things from the past seemed clear now. But actually, there were still some hidden truths. Xayvion was very hostile towards Yanis.

Yanis couldn’t believe Xayvion would meet Allison for no reason, nor did he think Xayvion would say anything nice about him. He was sure of that after seeing Allison’s expression; Xayvion definitely told Allison something.

Allison looked up, a hint of moisture in her eyes. “Why are you so anxious?”
