Even though Stephanie hadn’t suffered in the past, seeing how the Har family treated her frustrated Fila. However, even though Amber had nothing to do with Ella, she felt incredibly distressed watching her family taken in by the entire fans’ fervor.
Stephanie heard the gloating tone in Ella’s voice and thought for a moment before saying, “It might be because of those millions in medical bills.”
“Millions in medical bills? Are you serious, millions?” Ella exclaimed. “Have they found a way to save Olivia? Oh, please don’t let her have a chance to live.” A person like Olivia deserved to suffer and die from pain.
Stephanie replied, “You could say that.”
“Huh? They really found it?” Ella’s tone was noticeably downcast.
Stephanie smiled. “But finding it is just the same as not finding it, only giving a bit more hope.” What awaited was even bigger despair.
“Just say it all at once,” Ella complained. She felt like she was on a rollercoaster and couldn’t handle it.
Seeing how impatient Ella was, Stephanie smiled helplessly. “Allison came back to the country and visited the Hart family to check on Olivia.”
“Why would she go see Olivia? What happened while I was away? Why did Allison want to see Olivia?” Ella was immediately upset, even a bit angry.
Lately, the Hart family had been completely cut off. Getting into hospitals was impossible, and doctors wouldn’t make house calls. To Ella, this was exactly what the Hart family deserved. But now that Allison had gone to see Olivia, Ella was really unhappy about it.
Stephanie realized Ella had misunderstood and said, “Why are you so angry? Do you really think Allison needs their small change for medical bills?”
Then, Stephanie explained the whole situation. Allison hadn’t planned to go, but since Stephanie was feeling bored, she sent Allison over. That visit ended up giving the Hart family some hope, although it came at a steep price.
When Ella heard about the $1.5 million per pill medication taken over a week, she was completely shocked. “10.5 million dollars? What kind of ridiculously expensive medicine did Allison talk about?”
Stephanie replied, “I have no idea what kind of medicine it is, but she claims it’s real.”
“Is she joking with the Hart family?” Ella didn’t believe it at all. She thought even if such a medicine existed, it shouldn’t be so crazily overpriced.
Stephanie said, “I don’t know if it’s a joke or not, but seeing Amber make such a scene, I guess the Hart family believed it.”
Ella took a sharp breath. “How did I not realize before that Allison could be good at deceiving? Does the Hart family have over ten million to treat Olivia now?”
Lately, the Hart family had been in a desperate situation, with no way out. With just a word, Sebastian had completely blocked the Hart Group’s path, and now it was almost bankrupt. Maybe Chad had realized something was off and withdrew some funds. But those funds absolutely wouldn’t be used to treat Olivia; he had another family to care for.
Stephanie said, “If they had that much money, they wouldn’t have been in such chaos.”
Ella agreed, “Exactly. With Amber making all that trouble, it’s likely that Catlin wants to take all the money Tyler has.”
Anyway, she was determined to scrape together the medical fees. She was willing to be anything just to… Wow. What a moving devotion, Ella thought with a… err…
Stephanie asked, “So that’s why Amber is making all this fuss?”
Ella replied, “Yeah.”
Stephanie thought it was quite a compelling drama. She realized she had underestimated Amber, thinking she wouldn’t be able to handle it. After all, the Hart family always supported one another. Even Stephanie, a blood relative, had once been excluded, let alone Amber, who was an outsider.
“Alright, enough about the Hart family. Where are you now? Do you want me to send someone to pick you up?” Stephanie asked.
“You can’t pick me up.”
“What?”
“I’m at Lorenzo’s villa right now. He won’t let me leave.”
‘Lorenzo won’t let her go? What’s up with that?’ Stephanie, who usually wasn’t that curious, couldn’t help but ask. “Spill it. What’s going on?”
