Chapter 278
Sebastian rolled over and pinned Stephanie down. โSo, youโre worried about this?โ
Stephanie, trapped beneath him, shrank back nervously. Seeing her nervous face, Sebastian chuckled and pecked her lips. โStefi, who do you think would dare mess with us?โ
Stephanie stayed quiet. Sebastian ruffled her hair, rolled off, and wrapped his arms around her. โSilly girl,โ he murmured, his voice dripping with affection and a hint of frustration at her fear.
Stephanie snuggled into his embrace, finding a comfy spot to lean against. She knew there was no way she could push Sebastian away now, so she just let him have his way. It had always been like this since they were kids. In her world, Sebastian always had the final say. He had always been the one calling the shots. Their relationship had reached a point where she no longer felt she could make decisions on her own.
Sebastian kissed her forehead, but it wasnโt enough, not even close. With just a touch, he was already craving more. Stephanie felt the change in him and tensed up. โSebastian, Iโm still hurt,โ she blurted out, calling him by his name in a panic.
Hearing his name from her lips, Sebastian couldnโt hide the smile spreading across his face. He never thought his name would sound so good coming from her. โI know,โ he replied in his deep, smooth voice.
โThen whyโฆโ she started, but couldnโt finish. If he didnโt leave soon, things might spiral out of control. Especially how he acted last night after being drugged; it was awkward yet forceful. It was clear he was just discovering the taste of it all. Right now, Sebastian would only crave more, probably even beyond his own control.
โIt hurt a lot when I just applied medicine,โ Stephanie said quietly, seeing that he had no intention of leaving.
Sebastian raised an eyebrow. โSo what do you suggest?โ His deep voice had a hint of something off-kilter, like he was already struggling to keep himself in check.
โHuh?โ Stephanie was confused. Of course, he needed to leave. She was still injured. She looked up at him with tearful eyes. โIโm scared,โ she whispered. But her pitiful expression only seemed to fuel the fire in his eyes.
โYouโre such a delicate little thing,โ he teased.
Sniffling, Stephanie replied, โItโs because you spoiled me.โ She was afraid that if Sebastian got forceful now, she wouldnโt be able to escape.
Sebastian kissed her forehead again. โYeah, I spoiled you. I spoiled you rotten,โ he admitted, including her unruly little temper, which heโd indulged since they were kids.
โThen go back to your own room,โ Stephanie pushed against his chest. There was no way they could sleep together. If they kept going like this, something would definitely go wrong. She didnโt want to get hurt anymore. But Sebastian still had no intention of leaving. Just as Stephanie was about to insist, he suddenly grabbed her soft hand. Stephanieโs eyes widened in confusion.
At the Hart residence, Olivia said to Tyler, โThe Lucano family is an arms dealer from Fiorenza. Theyโre not that simple. Theyโre involved in both legal and illegal dealings.โ
โStephanie would face all kinds of threats if she stayed with them. Tyler, sheโs your own sister, so you should find a way to get her out of the Lucano family,โ Olivia urged.
Tyler frowned, โOlivia, youโฆโ
โIt doesnโt matter to me,โ Olivia interrupted. No matter what, she couldnโt let Stephanie stay with the Lucano family. If Stephanie kept relying on them, Olivia would be doomed. She was so jealous of Stephanie being with the Lucano family that it drove her crazy.
Tyler sighed. โThat ungrateful girl would never want to come back to the Hart family, and you know it.โ
โBut we have to try to bring her back. People in the underworld live on the edge. Life is unpredictable for them,โ Olivia insisted.
What a fool. It was just a piece of cake to bring Stephanie back from the Lucano family. Seeing Tylerโs attitude, Olivia was about to explode with frustration. She thought to herself, โIf Stephanie comes back to the Hart family, maybe I can be nice to her and she will stop making things difficult for me.โ She had a bad feeling about her plan to go abroad and wasnโt sure if it would even work out.
โForget it. Letโs focus on getting you out of Long Harbor first,โ Tyler said.
Over the years, Olivia had deeply affected the entire Hart family. As for Stephanie, with everything that had happened recently, Tyler wasnโt particularly keen on her. He was indifferent to her fate.
After leaving Oliviaโs room, Catlin kept complaining to Tyler about how much trouble Stephanie was causing Olivia.
Tyler could only say, โIโll get Olivia out of here as soon as possible.โ
Oliviaโs assistant was on it, and if everything went smoothly, Olivia would leave Long Harbor tomorrow. They could do nothing but send her abroad now.
