Chapter 266

Earlier that morning, Stephanie hadnโ€™t felt much pain. But now, as soon as she stood up, her legs couldnโ€™t hold her. Sebastian noticed how difficult it was for her to walk. โ€œDoes it hurt?โ€ he asked.

Stephanie was on the verge of tears from the pain. Her eyes were misty as she looked at Sebastian, nodding with a sense of grievance. At that moment, a hint of guilt flashed in Sebastianโ€™s eyes. He pulled her into his arms and kissed her forehead. โ€œSorry, I wasnโ€™t really in my right mind back then.โ€

โ€œYou still remember?โ€ Stephanie asked.

โ€œWait, remember? He said he wasnโ€™t in his right mind? But he remembers what he did to me, doesnโ€™t he?โ€ she thought.

Stephanieโ€™s temples throbbed as she stared at Sebastian. The smile that curled at the corner of his lips seemed to explain everything to her. Stephanieโ€™s mind went blank. โ€œYou really lied to me before?โ€

He clearly remembered everything, yet he still asked her how she got the wound on her lips. Her mentality completely collapsed at that moment. โ€œYouโ€™ve been bullying me this whole time, you-โ€ Stephanie was so angry.

Combined with the pain in her legs, Stephanie, in her fury, bit down hard on Sebastianโ€™s neck. โ€œYouโ€™ve pissed me off. Iโ€™m going to teach you a lesson.โ€

Sebastian chuckled softly and pinched her chin. โ€œAlright.โ€

Stephanie gritted her teeth. โ€œYou actually pretended not to remember. You-โ€

Sebastian said, โ€œStefi, youโ€™re too silly.โ€

Stephanie didnโ€™t expect him to blame her. She glared at him angrily, her eyes holding a hint of tears as they welled up in her gaze. Sebastian gently pinched her chin and kissed her slightly flushed lips. โ€œStefi, what should you do? Youโ€™re so silly.โ€

Stephanie said, โ€œHmph. Silly? You must be joking. Without you around these past three years, Iโ€™ve been doing just fine. Last year, I even made more than two million dollars.โ€

No fool could make that much money in a year. A deeper, almost mysterious smile passed through Sebastianโ€™s eyes. โ€œAlright, Stefi, youโ€™re smart.โ€

Sebastian thought she really was adorable. Stephanie huffed. โ€œI canโ€™t walk anymore.โ€

When she had gotten out of bed earlier, the place where she was hurt had been throbbing badly, and now she couldnโ€™t move at all. Sebastian picked her up effortlessly. Stephanie looked at his perfect jawline, and her heart skipped a beat.

Up until now, she still felt as though she were dreaming. Everything that happened last night seemed like a dream come true. Stephanie had imagined it so many times and had always thought it was impossible, yet it had become a reality. And Sebastian didnโ€™t seem to have any objections to the change in their relationship.

Downstairs, Elliot was there, and when he saw Sebastian carrying Stephanie down, he respectfully stood up. โ€œGood morning, Mr. Giovanni.โ€

Sebastian said, โ€œWeโ€™re going back to Whispering Bay.โ€

Elliot saw Stephanie in Sebastianโ€™s arms and could probably guess what had happened the night before. After all, he had been ordered to leave and had heard Macro sighing and sending someone to buy medicine. Sebastianโ€™s suppressed desire from all these years had finally erupted.

When Elliot heard that Sebastian was about to take Stephanie back, he instinctively stepped forward. โ€œChad is outside.โ€

Sebastian and Stephanie both froze, exchanging a look. Stephanie glanced at Elliot. โ€œHeโ€™s standing outside?โ€

The temperature outside was low, especially with the wind constantly blowing on the mountain. Even inside, they could hear it howling. Elliot nodded. โ€œYes.โ€

Stephanie was amazed he hadnโ€™t frozen to death yet. Sebastian glanced at Stephanie. โ€œStefi, do you want to see him?โ€

Elliot added, โ€œMr. Giovanni, heโ€™s here to see you.โ€

Sebastian furrowed his brows. Hearing that Chad was here to see him made him slightly displeased. He coldly said, โ€œI wonโ€™t see him.โ€ That was the expected answer.

Sebastian had already learned everything that the Hart family members had done to Stephanie. After hearing about the car accident, Sebastian was even less inclined to let them have it easy. Now, Sebastian just wanted every member of the Hart family to be thrown into a pot of hot oil.

Sebastian carried Stephanie out. Chad had been waiting outside, unable to get through to Elliot, so he had been standing there waiting for Stephanie and Sebastian. The air was freezing. The snow and wind whipped against his face like knives. Chad didnโ€™t know how long he would have to wait, but he knew he had to see Sebastian and Stephanie today.
