Chapter 266
Earlier that morning, Stephanie hadnโt felt much pain. But now, as soon as she stood up, her legs couldnโt hold her. Sebastian noticed how difficult it was for her to walk. โDoes it hurt?โ he asked.
Stephanie was on the verge of tears from the pain. Her eyes were misty as she looked at Sebastian, nodding with a sense of grievance. At that moment, a hint of guilt flashed in Sebastianโs eyes. He pulled her into his arms and kissed her forehead. โSorry, I wasnโt really in my right mind back then.โ
โYou still remember?โ Stephanie asked.
โWait, remember? He said he wasnโt in his right mind? But he remembers what he did to me, doesnโt he?โ she thought.
Stephanieโs temples throbbed as she stared at Sebastian. The smile that curled at the corner of his lips seemed to explain everything to her. Stephanieโs mind went blank. โYou really lied to me before?โ
He clearly remembered everything, yet he still asked her how she got the wound on her lips. Her mentality completely collapsed at that moment. โYouโve been bullying me this whole time, you-โ Stephanie was so angry.
Combined with the pain in her legs, Stephanie, in her fury, bit down hard on Sebastianโs neck. โYouโve pissed me off. Iโm going to teach you a lesson.โ
Sebastian chuckled softly and pinched her chin. โAlright.โ
Stephanie gritted her teeth. โYou actually pretended not to remember. You-โ
Sebastian said, โStefi, youโre too silly.โ
Stephanie didnโt expect him to blame her. She glared at him angrily, her eyes holding a hint of tears as they welled up in her gaze. Sebastian gently pinched her chin and kissed her slightly flushed lips. โStefi, what should you do? Youโre so silly.โ
Stephanie said, โHmph. Silly? You must be joking. Without you around these past three years, Iโve been doing just fine. Last year, I even made more than two million dollars.โ
No fool could make that much money in a year. A deeper, almost mysterious smile passed through Sebastianโs eyes. โAlright, Stefi, youโre smart.โ
Sebastian thought she really was adorable. Stephanie huffed. โI canโt walk anymore.โ
When she had gotten out of bed earlier, the place where she was hurt had been throbbing badly, and now she couldnโt move at all. Sebastian picked her up effortlessly. Stephanie looked at his perfect jawline, and her heart skipped a beat.
Up until now, she still felt as though she were dreaming. Everything that happened last night seemed like a dream come true. Stephanie had imagined it so many times and had always thought it was impossible, yet it had become a reality. And Sebastian didnโt seem to have any objections to the change in their relationship.
Downstairs, Elliot was there, and when he saw Sebastian carrying Stephanie down, he respectfully stood up. โGood morning, Mr. Giovanni.โ
Sebastian said, โWeโre going back to Whispering Bay.โ
Elliot saw Stephanie in Sebastianโs arms and could probably guess what had happened the night before. After all, he had been ordered to leave and had heard Macro sighing and sending someone to buy medicine. Sebastianโs suppressed desire from all these years had finally erupted.
When Elliot heard that Sebastian was about to take Stephanie back, he instinctively stepped forward. โChad is outside.โ
Sebastian and Stephanie both froze, exchanging a look. Stephanie glanced at Elliot. โHeโs standing outside?โ
The temperature outside was low, especially with the wind constantly blowing on the mountain. Even inside, they could hear it howling. Elliot nodded. โYes.โ
Stephanie was amazed he hadnโt frozen to death yet. Sebastian glanced at Stephanie. โStefi, do you want to see him?โ
Elliot added, โMr. Giovanni, heโs here to see you.โ
Sebastian furrowed his brows. Hearing that Chad was here to see him made him slightly displeased. He coldly said, โI wonโt see him.โ That was the expected answer.
Sebastian had already learned everything that the Hart family members had done to Stephanie. After hearing about the car accident, Sebastian was even less inclined to let them have it easy. Now, Sebastian just wanted every member of the Hart family to be thrown into a pot of hot oil.
Sebastian carried Stephanie out. Chad had been waiting outside, unable to get through to Elliot, so he had been standing there waiting for Stephanie and Sebastian. The air was freezing. The snow and wind whipped against his face like knives. Chad didnโt know how long he would have to wait, but he knew he had to see Sebastian and Stephanie today.
