Leviโ€™s POV

The moment the guard unlocked the cell, I stormed inside, scooping Oliviaโ€™s unconscious body into my arms. Panic clawed at my chest as I lifted her; her blood dripped onto the cold stone floor from the deep wound in her neck.

โ€œGet the healer!โ€ Louis shouted as he ran behind me, while Lennox stood frozen, his expression blank with shock, as if his mind couldnโ€™t process what was happening.

My heart pounded in sync with my wolfโ€™s frantic howling. Ignoring the slick warmth of Oliviaโ€™s blood soaking into my clothes, I carried her straight into the pack house and up to her room. I laid her on the bed and pressed my trembling hand to her bleeding neck, desperately trying to stop the flow.

โ€œFuck,โ€ I choked out, staring at the blood pooling between my fingers. It wasnโ€™t slowing. It wasnโ€™t stopping.

โ€œWhere is the fucking healer?โ€ Louis shouted at the top of his lungs, and just then, the door pushed open, and the pack healer rushed in along with Oliviaโ€™s mom.

The healer hurried to the bedside, her eyes widening as she took in Oliviaโ€™s condition. Oliviaโ€™s mom followed closely, gasping at the sight of her daughter drenched in blood.

โ€œWhat happened?โ€ the healer demanded, dropping to her knees beside the bed.

โ€œShe stabbed herself,โ€ I stammered, my voice thick with fear.

The healerโ€™s hands glowed with a soft, golden light as she hovered them over Oliviaโ€™s neck, murmuring an incantation. I held my breath, hoping to see the bleeding slow or stop altogether. But nothing changed. The blood kept pouring, staining the sheets beneath her.

The healer frowned, her hands trembling as the light flickered and faded.

โ€œWhatโ€™s wrong?โ€ Oliviaโ€™s mom cried, her face stricken with terror.

โ€œIโ€“I donโ€™t understand,โ€ the healer whispered, sweat beading on her forehead. โ€œSheโ€™s resisting my ability. Itโ€™s as ifโ€ฆ she doesnโ€™t want to be healed.โ€

โ€œWhat the hell do you mean she doesnโ€™t want to be healed?โ€ I snapped, barely containing the growl rumbling in my chest. โ€œSheโ€™s unconscious! She doesnโ€™t even know sheโ€™s hurt!โ€

The healer shook her head, clearly just as confused as the rest of us. โ€œSometimesโ€ฆ it happens when the spirit is rejecting life โ€“ when the will to survive is weakened. But Iโ€™ve never seen it this strong before. Itโ€™s likeโ€ฆ her body is consciously fighting against my healing.โ€

Louis cursed under his breath, pacing by the door, while Lennox stood frozen in shock. Oliviaโ€™s mother sobbed, clutching her daughterโ€™s hand.

โ€œDo something!โ€ I pleaded, my throat burning. โ€œThere has to be something you can do!โ€

The healer closed her eyes, taking a deep breath. โ€œIโ€™ll try another method. But if her spirit doesnโ€™t cooperate, it may not work. Someone needs to speak to her โ€“ call out to her. Sometimes, hearing a loved oneโ€™s voice can remind the soul why it needs to stay.โ€

Louis scoffed, running a hand through his hair, clearly fighting his own frustration. He stepped closer to the bed, his jaw clenched tight.

โ€œOlivia,โ€ he muttered, his voice softer than before, almost reluctant. โ€œI swear, if you die on us nowโ€ฆ after everythingโ€ฆ Iโ€™m gonna kick your ass in the afterlife. Youโ€™re not allowed to just leave like this. You think youโ€™re the only one hurting? Youโ€™re not. So stop being a stubborn little brat and wake the hell up. I donโ€™t want to be a widower yet.โ€

Lennox cursed under his breath, hesitating before stepping forward as well. He looked away, his voice low and strained. โ€œYou always act like youโ€™re some lone wolf, like you donโ€™t need anyone. It pisses me off. But you know what? Youโ€™ve got people who care about you โ€“ people whoโ€™d tear the world apart to keep you safe. You canโ€™t just give up nowโ€ฆ not when weโ€™re still here, fighting for you. Stop being selfish and open your damn eyes.โ€

He hesitated, his throat bobbing as he swallowed hard. โ€œLook, Oliviaโ€ฆ you always act like you donโ€™t care about anything, but I know youโ€™re not that heartless. If youโ€™re just giving up now, then youโ€™re proving us right โ€“ proving that youโ€™re too weak to handle this shit. Donโ€™t be that coward. Prove us wrong for once.โ€

He rubbed his hand over his face, trying to hide the crack in his voice. Louis just shook his head, pretending to be annoyed, but I saw the guilt in his eyes. They wouldnโ€™t admit it, but they were hurting just as much as I was.

I swallowed back the tightness in my throat and leaned in close to Olivia, brushing her hair from her face. โ€œHear that, Olivia? Theyโ€™re worried about youโ€ฆ even if theyโ€™re too damn stubborn to say it right. Youโ€™re not allowed to give up on us. Weโ€™re not giving up on you. So come backโ€ฆ please.โ€

A faint glow flickered over Oliviaโ€™s wound, and the healer gasped.

โ€œSheโ€™s responding.โ€

The healerโ€™s hands glowed even brighter, and I finally saw the wound start to fully close. Relief washed over me as Oliviaโ€™s breathing steadied, her chest rising and falling more evenly.

Louis let out a shaky breath, mumbling under his breath, โ€œDamn idiotโ€ฆ scared the hell out of us.โ€

Lennox just stood there, looking torn between relief and frustration, muttering, โ€œYou better wake up soon. Donโ€™t make us go through this crap again.โ€

I squeezed Oliviaโ€™s hand gently, whispering, โ€œYou did good, Olivia. Just keep fighting. Weโ€™ll be right hereโ€ฆโ€

Soon, the healer sighed in relief and looked at us. โ€œAlphas, she is out of danger but will be unconscious for a few hours,โ€ the healer announced, and I nodded, staring at Olivia, whose dress was stained with her blood.

The healer left, but Oliviaโ€™s mother stayed behind, running her fingers through her daughterโ€™s hair, whispering soft words of comfort.

โ€œDid you know that her father, your husband, is dead?โ€ Lennox threw the question at Oliviaโ€™s mom, who swallowed hard and nodded.

My frown deepened. โ€œAnd Olivia is not aware of it?โ€ I said through gritted teeth.

โ€œShe thinks we ordered the killing of her father โ€“ something we had no idea about,โ€ Louis spat in anger.

Oliviaโ€™s mother hesitated, biting her lip as she stroked Oliviaโ€™s hair. โ€œI couldnโ€™t tell her,โ€ she whispered, her voice shaking. โ€œSheโ€ฆ she doesnโ€™t know the truth.โ€

I glared at her, barely holding back my growl. โ€œWhy?โ€

She glanced at Oliviaโ€™s pale face, wiping away a tear before turning to me. โ€œHer fatherโ€ฆ he was killed on your fatherโ€™s orders. Iโ€ฆ I couldnโ€™t bear to tell her. She wouldnโ€™t be able to take it.โ€

Louis scoffed, running a frustrated hand through his hair. โ€œAnd now she thinks we did it. She stabbed herself because of it.โ€

Oliviaโ€™s mom lowered her gaze, shame coloring her cheeks. โ€œI thought it would protect her. She adored her fatherโ€ฆ if she knew the truth, it wouldโ€™ve destroyed her. I didnโ€™t realize how much it would hurt her in the end.โ€

My hands clenched into fists at my sides, struggling to control my anger.

A loud knock on the door interrupted us, and a maid timidly stepped inside, bowing her head. โ€œAlphas, Lady Anita has woken up, and she is requesting your presence.โ€

I turned around, my temper snapping. โ€œWe donโ€™t fucking care. Get out!โ€ I roared, making the maid flinch and scurry away without another word.
