Standing next to the bed, I couldnโt tear my eyes away from the body lying there. It wasnโt decaying, and there were no signs of injury. The stillness of the chest, however, extinguished the last thread of hope Iโd been clinging toโthe hope that I was merely badly injured or in a coma. Seeing my own lifeless body, I had to face the reality of my death.
I sat beside my own body, staring at my hand, wondering what was next. Was I supposed to exist like this forever? I had no idea. Was this what the afterlife was like? I could see everyone, but I couldnโt interact.
Suddenly, someone entered. The man who walked in was shrouded in mystery, a familiar figure, Shinma Ganeath. He held something of transparent appearance, perhaps a vial.
