She didn’t even know what to do anymore.

After all, everything she had experienced was real.

She couldn’t forgive the past on behalf of the one who had suffered.

If little Aurora knew that the grown-up version of her forgave it all so easily, would that really be right?

Aurora pressed her lips tightly and continued walking step by step.

On both sides of the tunnel, many scenes showed Grace treating Tessa with overwhelming kindness–so much so that it clearly crossed into favoritism.

Aurora’s heart, once filled with pain, had now turned numb.

She had come to understand that if someone didn’t like her, no matter how hard she tried to please them, they still wouldn’t like her.

So, there was no point in caring about it. It wasn’t necessary.

Besides, Grace wasn’t so bad to her now.

Compared to other mothers, she could be considered decent.

For some reason, Aurora now saw things much more clearly.

She walked slowly forward alone.

Maybe because she was seeing everything from the outside now, the images felt merely familiar.

After seeing it so many times, it no longer stirred anything in her.

It was like she really was just an outsider.

So, these things didn’t affect her much anymore.

Aurora steadied her emotions and continued walking ahead.

The images on both sides began to slow down, almost as if they had sensed the shift in her mood.

After Aurora learned that her parents didn’t have a good relationship, she no longer felt that curious about the dynamics between them.

Instead, what she really wanted to know was–was Tessa truly her biological sister?

If she was, then Aurora had clearly seen Grace holding her when she was born.

And William had been right there too.

If that were the case, then why did Grace treat her and Tessa so differently?

Was it really just favoritism?

That night, when she was curled up alone at the edge of the bed, Grace quietly entered her room, moving so carefully as if afraid to wake her.
