Chapter 223

This visit was mainly to discuss the finer details of the project with Vanguardโ€™s representative.

The project lead from Walton Corporation was none other than Ambraโ€™s most die-hard fan, Kelvin Gill.

The moment he saw her, he was so overwhelmed he could barely form a sentence.

He wanted to shake her hand but hesitated for so long he looked like he was stuck.

Aurora, seeing that, offered her hand first. โ€œYouโ€™re Kelvin Gill, right? Iโ€™ve heard about you.

โ€œYouโ€™re in charge of this project. Youโ€™ve been thorough and meticulous. Keep it up!โ€

Kelvin covered his mouth in disbelief. โ€œOh my God, I canโ€™t believe Iโ€™m meeting you in person.โ€

Aurora couldnโ€™t help but let out a small laugh at that.

Realizing how awkward it sounded, Kelvin quickly tried to correct himself. โ€œI meanโ€ฆyouโ€™re like a legend to us.

โ€œI wouldnโ€™t even be leading this project if it werenโ€™t for you securing it. Really, I owe it to you.โ€

Aurora smiled and said, โ€œAlright, enough with the flattery. The projectโ€™s in your hands now, and I trust you. Weโ€™re all in this for a win-win!

โ€œWhen we head to Vanguard later, make sure to stay sharp. Weโ€™re the professionals here.โ€

Kelvin nodded solemnly. โ€œGot it. You can count on me!โ€

He had spent all of last night going over his notes, determined to make sure todayโ€™s meeting would go perfectly.

When they arrived at Vanguard, a receptionist was already waiting at the entrance to greet them.

It was the same familiar front desk with the same official smile.

โ€œMiss Walton, correct?โ€

As Aurora and Kelvin stepped into the lobby, someone immediately came over to receive them.

Kelvin was a little stunned by the treatment.

After all, their monthly salaries were likely equivalent to what he earned over the course of several monthsโ€“if not more.

Yet here they were, giving them such serious attention.

That made Kelvinโ€™s heart race even more.

Aurora, however, was used to this sort of reception.

She nodded calmly. โ€œIโ€™m Aurora Walton. Iโ€™ve already arranged a meeting with your project manager. Would you please let them know weโ€™ve arrived?โ€

โ€œOf course.โ€

After waiting a few moments, Aurora and Kelvin were led to the elevators.

When they stepped out, Aurora spotted a familiar figure surrounded by a group of people.

She recognized him instantlyโ€“Lucas.

He stood out too easily, not just because of his looks, but the commanding presence around him.

Auroraโ€™s gaze locked onto him without hesitation.

This time, she didnโ€™t hold back.

She followed Lucasโ€˜ steps, wanting to know what was going on.

The receptionist, alarmed, moved quickly to stop her but wasnโ€™t fast enough.

Aurora had already stepped in front of Lucas, blocking his path.

His brows, already furrowed, tightened even more when he saw her.

His expression clearly darkened.

Why was she here?

Aurora crossed her arms, her tone laced with teasing. โ€œThis time, Iโ€™m not mistaken, am I?โ€

โ€œWhat are you doing here?โ€ Lucas glanced at Desmond Watson, who immediately understood and ushered the others away. Aurora noticed that too, narrowing her eyes.

A bold guess took shape in her mindโ€”could Lucas actually be working at Vanguard?

But Lucas went back to his usual tactic. โ€œIโ€™m just here for business. Didnโ€™t expect to see you.โ€

Aurora wasnโ€™t buying it. โ€œReally? Vanguard doesnโ€™t exactly deal in media projects.โ€
