Chapter 700

Yale couldnโ€™t help but shiver again when he heard Tylerโ€™s words.

Tyler raised his wrist and glanced at his watch. It was already 2 in the morning. By now, there wasnโ€™t much point in digging any further.

โ€œThatโ€™s enough for today. Start an internal review first.โ€

โ€œYes, sir.โ€

Everyone in the office responded one after another.

The group slowly dispersed, some stifling yawns, already resigned to the fact that no one would be getting much sleep tonight.

โ€œSeriously, who has the guts to come after our company? They must be insane.โ€

โ€œYeah, and our security system is supposed to be the best. For someone to crack it, Iโ€™d really like to know which genius pulled that off.โ€

โ€œForget about who did it. All I know is the geniuses in our own IT department are out of jobs now. Weโ€™d better just focus on our own work. Otherwise, the next unemployed folks could be us.โ€

โ€œTrue, true.โ€

Tyler placed the three contracts on the desk before shifting his gaze to Yale.

โ€œWho introduced this project to you? Which overseas firm? I want to meet their representative.โ€

Yale froze on the spot. Representative?

Did Tyler want to meet the person in charge? That was impossibleโ€“if they met, the whole charade would fall apart!

Feeling anxious, his thoughts began to race.

Tyler, noticing his silence, barked impatiently, โ€œYale! What are you doing? Iโ€™m talking to you.โ€

Snapping back, Yale forced a quick answer. โ€œOh, Mr. Huntโ€“yes, the representative. Iโ€™ll reach out to them first thing in the morning.โ€

Tyler tapped his fingers on the desk, his eyes dropping to the contracts again. He combed through every page, but there was nothing suspicious at all. It was just a straightforward agreement with no hidden clauses.

โ€œWhy would this partner insist on working with us? Are they out of their minds? Donโ€™t they realize our company is on the verge of bankruptcy?โ€

โ€œMr. Hunt, I already raised those same concerns. But their representative told me they believe in your ability. If you manage to turn things around, their firm sees this as a major projectโ€“and they hope for long-term cooperation with you in the future.โ€

Tylerโ€™s brows furrowed deeper.

โ€œThis still feels off. Look into the representativeโ€™s background thoroughly.โ€

Yale panicked when he heard this.

โ€œMr. Hunt, we really donโ€™t have the time to be digging into this. Shouldnโ€™t we focus on pushing the project forward? And besides, whether or not someone forged your signature, the contract is already effective.โ€

โ€œWhat do you mean?โ€ Tyler frowned and glanced coldly at Yale. โ€œHave you already contacted them?โ€

โ€œI did a while ago. Everything was ready except for your signature. But since itโ€™s already there, naturally, the contract is valid now. Mr. Hunt, whatever else happens, the most important thing is to launch this project immediately. We should also spread the word. Let outsiders see that there are still companies willing to work with us.โ€

Tyler tugged irritably at his tie after hearing this, leaving it hanging loose around his neck. His intense gaze landed on Yale.

โ€œYale, did you have anything to do with this?โ€
