Mikaela smiled at her, the kind eyes contrasting sharply with the stern gaze she had given me. Kimberly served Mikaela water and then sat down to peel fruit for her, which was so thoughtful. I thought Mikaela might not like me, but I didn’t expect that Mikaela actually “hated” me.
