Chapter 370
Arriving at the door of the CEOโs office, I sighed softly and then knocked.
Seeing the look Leticia just gave me, Reynaldo calling me in definitely wasnโt for anything good. Moreover, these days, Reynaldo was already giving me all kinds of dirty looks.
โCome in!โ
A deep voice sounded, and I slowly pushed open the door.
The man was sitting at the table, frowning as he looked at the documents. As soon as I walked in, he picked up a stack of documents and showed them to me, saying, โDid you make these reports?โ
I nodded.
In an instant, he slammed the stack of reports down and said coldly, โTake a look at what youโve done; several data points are wrong. Did you not receive the data sheet?โ
โDid you just randomly put a few numbers up there and call it a day?โ
โSeveral pieces of data are wrong? How is that possible?โ
I picked up the report in disbelief, opened it, and saw that he had marked all the mistakes in red. At first glance, there were more than ten errors. But how was this possible? I had clearly checked it against the data table after I finished, and there was no problem at all.
And it wasnโt the first time helping Melany with the report; how could I possibly make such a basic mistake? If it was just one mistake, I might have overlooked it, but the key is that there were more than ten mistakes.
โRoll out and redo!โ
I opened my mouth, wanting to defend myself, but looking at his cold face, I didnโt know what to say. After all, this report did have more than a dozen mistakes.
Coming out of the presidentโs office, I saw Kimberly and Leticia mocking me. I gave them a cold look and returned to my seat with the report in hand.
Melany looked at my face and asked worriedly, โWhatโs wrong?โ
โYesterday after workโฆ when you went to the Michelin-starred restaurant for dinner, who was the last one to leave?โ
โKimberly.โ
โKimberly?โ
โYeah, I stayed at work for an extra ten minutes because I had some things to finish up. When I left, everyone had left except Kimberly. I asked her curiously why she hadnโt left yet, and she said she was waiting for Mr. Humphrey to pick her up.โ
Upon hearing this, I had a rough idea in my mind. I glanced at the surveillance camera above my head, then picked up the wrong report and went to the control room.
The control room was on the eighth floor, one floor below the media department. I showed them my work badge and said that I had lost something important and wanted to check the surveillance footage around my workstation.
The people in the control room were quite nice and quickly pulled up the surveillance footage from yesterday when I left work.
Soon, I saw Kimberly sitting at my desk, and then she opened my computerโฆ Just on this point alone, it can be proven that Kimberly tampered with the report I made, and then printed out the incorrect one to replace my correct one.
I recorded the footage of Kimberly sitting at my desk and then took the incorrect report to Reynaldo. Perhaps a little excited, I forgot to knock on the door when I went to the presidentโs office.
When I pushed open the door, Kimberly was inside, coughing uncomfortably. And Reynaldo was following along behind her, his brows furrowed with concern.
