Chapter 356: Mine for Life
Yvette looked at Summer. โSo what do you plan to do?โ
Summer thought for a moment, a cold glint flashing through her eyes. โIโll be discharged tomorrow. Letโs give her a proper surprise then. She nearly lost her baby this time. Thereโs no way sheโd let Morgan walk away from that.โ
Yvette gave her a playful look, winking suggestively. โGeez, Bossmanโs been treating you like a porcelain doll, huh? Wonโt even let you get out of bed until youโre dischargedโfeeding you, bathing youโฆ I bet he even helped you wash up, didnโt he?โ
Summerโs face instantly turned red, her cheeks flushed at the memory of him helping her bathe the night before.
Yvette teasingly pinched her soft earlobe. โWhatโs with that shy look? Donโt forget, Iโve got a man too. Didnโt you once say your Bossman went at it seven times in one night? Mineโs not bad either. Five rounds in one nightโnot too shabby.โ
At the door, Fraser and Xavier stood frozen, both staring at each other with dark expressions.
Fraser thought, You went five times in one night?
Xavier thought, You went seven?!
Fraser frowned. โKeep Yvette away from my woman before she teaches her nonsense.โ
Xavier, clearly offended, defended his girlfriend. โWhatโs wrong with Yvette? Sheโs just straightforward. Honestly, Summerโs been too sheltered by you. As the future Mrs. Graham, sheโs going to meet all kinds of people. You wonโt always be there.โ
He wasnโt wrong. Fraser couldnโt be by Summerโs side every minute of the day. Thatโs why Fraser had already decidedโhe was assigning bodyguards to protect her closely from now on. Something like this could never happen again.
He stepped forward and pushed open the hospital room door. Xavier quickly followed.
Yvette paused mid-sentence when she saw them walk in. She looked a little guilty, unsure if Bossman had heard what sheโd just said.
Chapter 356: Mine for Life
Fraser went straight to the bed, his eyes soft as he looked at Summer. โDid you take your supplements?โ
Summer nodded sweetly. โI took the morning and noon ones.โ
Fraser took her hand and said smoothly, โDoctor says you need plenty of rest. You shouldnโt be disturbed too often.โ
Xavier rolled his eyes. When did I say that?
Yvette finally realized he was kicking her out. Was he seriously kicking her out? She was about to speak, but Xavier beat her to it. โCome on, Yvette. Letโs go on a date.โ
Yvette gave him a side-eye. โA date? Iโve got tons of things to do.โ
He scooped her up and started walking out. โToo bad. I want to go on a date with you.โ
โHey! Donโt drag me! I wasnโt done talking with Summer!โ
And just like that, Yvette was swept away. Summer was speechless. The room fell into a peaceful quiet. Just the two of them now.
Fraser sat beside the bed, his dark eyes silently scanning her face. Her complexion looked much better now, her bright, clear eyes shining again. Just looking at her made something in him soften. His gaze deepened. He picked up her delicate hand, brought it to his lips, and gently bit her fingertip.
A soft tingling sensation tickled her skinโit felt like feathers brushing through her chest.
Summerโs lips curved up. โDonโt you have work?โ
โNot urgent.โ
โOh.โ Summer hesitated. She wanted to ask about the Graham Groupโs upcoming consortium meeting but didnโt know how to bring it up. If it werenโt for her, Fraser wouldnโt be dealing with all this.
Fraser looked at her, voice calm and serious. โSummer, once youโre out of the hospital, letโs go get our marriage license.โ
She blinked. โAlready?โ
He smiled and glanced at her gently swelling belly. His voice was low and magnetic. โYouโreโฆโ
โโฆOh.โ
โWhat?โ Fraser lifted her chin with one hand, forcing her to look at him. His tone was lazy, but firm. โDonโt want to marry me? Too late now. Youโre mine for life. My Mrs. Graham.โ
Summer looked into his deep, obsidian eyes, her cheeks burning again. What do you mean Iโm yours for life?!
โSo bossy. You havenโt even proposed and you want to drag me to the courthouse?โ
Fraser chuckled softly. โSoโฆ you want a proposal?โ
