Chapter 207: Fighting With a Dog

Summer had no choice but to lean against his chest the entire ride, her slender waist tightly secured by his large hand.

โ€œSummer, say a few more words.โ€

Summer pouted. โ€œSay what?โ€

โ€œSay you missed me.โ€

Annoyed, Summer reached out and pinched his firm abs. โ€œHowโ€™s the situation with the Oblistan factory?โ€ she asked.

Fraser didnโ€™t seem to care much, giving a simple response. โ€œItโ€™s fine.โ€

Summer casually asked, โ€œHow did the fire start so suddenly this time?โ€

โ€œYouโ€™re that concerned about me?โ€

Summer said, โ€œIโ€™m just worried that if the Graham Group goes under, you wonโ€™t be the bossman anymore.โ€

Fraser chuckled, holding her fingers between his own and bringing them to his lips for a light bite. โ€œRelax, Iโ€™ll still have enough money to take care of you.โ€

Back at Ravenshire Boulevard, Pudding was there too. Hearing the sound of their arrival, the dog barked excitedly and ran out, circling Summer over and over. The household staff came daily to feed and walk him on schedule.

Summer had been overwhelmed with work these past few days, handling the management of the Stewart Group during the day and keeping Julia company at the Stewart Mansion at night. Now, seeing Pudding, she felt guilty. She crouched down, continuously stroking his soft white fur and pressing her forehead against his. โ€œIโ€™m sorry, Pudding. Iโ€™ve been too busy these days and neglected you.โ€

Fraser stood by the kitchen counter and drank water. With an unreadable expression, he let out a soft huff. โ€œFunny, I donโ€™t hear you apologizing to me.โ€

Summer looked up at him in confusion. โ€œWhy should I?โ€

Fraser replied lazily, โ€œYou ignored me too while I was on my business trip.โ€

Feeling a little guilty, Summer shifted her gaze to Pudding and pursed her lips. โ€œPudding, donโ€™t you think your dad is petty?โ€

Woof wool woof! Pudding barked loudly. โ€œNot only is he pretty, but heโ€™s also jealous, and he loves to mess with me!โ€

Summer chuckled, lifting her chin smugly. โ€œSee? Even Pudding agrees with me.โ€

Fraser raised an eyebrow at her defiant look, letting out a scoff. Summer ignored him and got up, ready to head to her room to change into something more comfortable. Pudding followed happily behind her.

Fraser cast a sidelong glance at them as they slowly walked past him. After a moment, he set down his glass and followed at a leisurely pace.

Just as Pudding was about to step into the bedroom, Fraser lifted his long leg and blocked him.

Clicking his tongue, Fraser said, โ€œYou stay out here and behave.โ€

Wool woof woof! Pudding puffed up indignantly. โ€œI want to go in too!โ€

Fraser remained unapologetic. โ€œSheโ€™s for my eyes only.โ€

Her dress hugged her curves, accentuating her figure. Looking toward the bedroom door, she saw Fraser and Pudding seriously arguing and couldnโ€™t help but laugh.

She stepped forward, grasped the bedroom doorknob, and smiled. โ€œI think both of you should stay outside.โ€

With that, Summer moved to shut the door. But in the next second, Fraser swiftly stepped inside. Reaching out, he slid his arms under her legs and waist, lifting her effortlessly and pressing her against the door.

Click. The bedroom door swung shut with force.

Fraser narrowed his eyes, his voice low and husky. โ€œYouโ€™ve gotten bold, hmm? Trying to shut me out?โ€

Pudding stared in confusion at the closed door, barking in frustration. Not again. Every time the bedroom door closed, they completely forgot about me. And every single time, he was left outside all night. Not only that, but he was also forced to listen to all kinds of soft, sickeningly sweet moans and sighs from inside.

Feeling defeated, Pudding slumped at the door, licking his paw. At least leave me some food before you lock me out.

Inside, Summer kicked her legs in the air in protest. โ€œFraser, put me down!โ€

Fraserโ€™s gaze held amusement as he smirked. โ€œBeg.โ€

When under someone elseโ€™s roof, it was best to go along with things. Summer was quick to catch on. She clasped her hands together. โ€œPlease, pretty please?โ€

Fraser lowered his eyes, pretending to think for a second before replying seriously, โ€œNo.โ€

Summer was speechless! She asked, โ€œThen why did you tell me to beg you?โ€

Fraserโ€™s eyes softened, a smile playing at the corners of his lips.
