Chapter 101: A Night of Passion
Her voice was hoarse. โWhyโฆ so much?โ
Fraser finished preparing and leaned over Summer again, gently taking her earlobe between his lips. Summerโs earlobe was small and soft, with a slight coolness to it. He gazed at the woman beneath him, his eyes burning with a dark, rising desire.
โYou should trust your manโs abilities,โ Fraser said.
Then, his strong presence completely enveloped Summer. A series of intimate sounds mingled with her soft, low moans filled the air. They ebbed and flowed, finally tinged with a frustrated cry.
Fraserโs voice was husky. โSummer, say my name.โ
โFraโฆser,โ Summer replied.
Her voice trembled with emotion, sultry yet innocent, a stark contrast to her usual tone. It sent a dangerous glint into Fraserโs eyes, his gaze moving up and down.
โGood girl,โ Fraser was satisfied.
The night glowed like moonlight, spilling through the window and casting ambiguous shadows on the glass. Since Summer had just been discharged from the hospital, Fraser restrained himself to just once. But even that left her utterly spent, sprawled under the covers, drenched in sweat, too exhausted to lift a finger.
Fraser chuckled and said Summer was skinny, but she claimed she wasnโt; however, her stamina was undeniably lacking. Resigned, he scooped her up from the bed and carried her to the bathroom for a rinse, then gently blow-dried her long, dark hair. When he was done, he held her close on the bed, pressing against her slender back, his arms possessively encircling her.
Summerโs soft, dark hair was tied back, a few strands framing her face, her lips red against her white teeth. The warm, bright light from above bathed her, making her look gentle and radiant. She closed her eyes, savoring his attention, and let out a comfortable sigh.
From above, his low, husky voice broke the silence. โSummer, Iโm heading to the Ameros for a business trip tomorrow.โ
She slowly opened her eyes. โHow long?โ
His tone was lazy. โA week.โ
Summer thought to herself, My birthday party is this weekend, meaning he wonโt make it back in time. I planned to bring Fraser to show the Stewart family that Trevor and I were truly over. Now, it seemed Iโd have to face it alone. I could already picture Juliaโs smug reaction.
When Summer didnโt respond, Fraser pinched her nose. โWhatโs with the silence? Missing me already? I havenโt even left yet. Guess youโre pretty satisfied with my service.โ
Summer blushed. โI am not!โ
Fraserโs deep, possessive gaze trailed from her face, over her collarbone, and lingered on the softest part of her chest. โAlright, alright, youโre not. I am,โ he teased.
Fraser left for his trip, and Summer threw herself back into work. She still had to outshine Jasper in next quarterโs performance. Jasper was already cozying up to the shareholders, and word had reached her ears. The Stewart Groupโs shareholders, old-fashioned relics, looked down on Summer, the suddenly appointed director. They scorned her background, dismissing her as illegitimate despite her Stewart lineage, all because sheโd returned after 20 years.
So, Jasper had the upper hand this time. Summer sighed, leaning back in her chair, feeling drained. Then she recalled Fraserโs bold, arrogant words, โIโll give you the entire Stewart Group. How about that?โ She hadnโt dared take it seriously, but for a fleeting moment, it had touched her. A man willing to spend money on you was pretty cool.
With that thought, she unlocked her phone and saw a message from Fraser, sent 10 minutes ago, โMiss me?โ She could picture his smug, handsome grin behind it. Smiling, she typed back, โNot really.โ
Her phone pinged with a photo.
โWhat is this picture for?โ Fraser asked in WhatsApp.
It was her morning social media selfie: a silk nude-colored shirt, buttoned up tight, with a simple smile. Fraser had seen it and sent it to her.
Summer thought to herself, Are all guys this direct?
Fraser: โTrying to seduce me?โ
Summer: โMr. Graham, youโre overthinking it. Itโs just a normal selfie.โ
Fraser: โWait till I get back. Iโll deal with you then.โ
Summer couldnโt help but grin. This man was something else. Just as she was about to reply, her phone rang. It was Caleb.
