Chapter 375

Sienna didn't bother responding when Conner saw the box. "What illness I have and what medicine I take is none of your business," she retorted, jerking her arm free and attempting to leave.

Conner quickly stepped in front of her. "Sienna, I'm just concerned about you."

"I don't need that," Sienna sneered, disgust and hatred etched on her face.

Conner's feelings were hurt, despite his understanding. "Sienna, do you really hate me that much?"

A mixture of surprise and bitterness flickered in Sienna's eyes. "Shouldn't I?" she began, then paused.

"I know my parents hurt you," Conner said, frustration evident on his face, "but I've never done anything to hurt you."

"Don't you get it?" Sienna scoffed, shooting him a sharp glance. "You don't need to do anything. Your very existence is a form of pain for me." She glared at him one last time before circumventing him and walking away.

Conner stood frozen, rubbing his forehead. He pulled out his phone, googled the medicine he remembered from the box, and gasped at the information on the webpage. "Is Sienna's condition this serious?!"

Sienna, wanting to avoid being photographed, led Conner to the prop room. Frowning, she forced herself to remain calm. "What is it? Spit it out and leave!"

Conner showed her the webpage. "This is the medicine you're taking, right?"

Sienna confirmed his surprisingly accurate memory. Conner's urgency increased. "What's wrong? What exactly are you sick with?" The webpage indicated blood and immune system disorders.

"Sienna, are you really that sick?" he asked, his panic evident.

Sienna was momentarily speechless.

"Sienna, say something!" Conner paced anxiously. "What's wrong with you? What kind of illness do you have?"

"What are you yelling about?" Sienna snapped. "What does it have to do with you?"

"You're not going to say anything, right?" Conner guessed. "Is it leukemia? Aplastic anemia?"

Sienna's surprised reaction confirmed his suspicion.

Conner's expression tightened as he stammered, "It is aplastic anemia, isn't it?"

Sienna remained silent, her body tense, her face paling slightly. Conner pressed a hand to his forehead, distress clouding his eyes. "How could this happen, Sienna? Is it true?"

Sienna sneered. "Why does it matter to you? Are you satisfied with your curiosity now? You can leave."

Conner refused to leave, his worry palpable. "Sienna, this illness is hard to treat. To cure it, you'll need a bone marrow transplant."

Sienna raised an eyebrow, a faint smirk playing on her lips. "You sure know a lot. Are you done talking? Then hurry up and leave."

Suddenly, Conner grabbed her wrist. "Have you found a matching bone marrow?" He saw the icy look in her eyes and laughed bitterly. "Sorry. I should have known." The answer was clear; a match would eliminate the need for medication.

For the first time, Sienna sensed genuine concern in Conner's demeanor. Her tone softened slightly. "Stop being so curious about my life. I don't need your concern. Just leave and don't come back."

Conner looked deeply into her eyes. "I'm your younger brother. Maybe I can save you!"

Sienna froze, disbelief etched on her face.

"There's still hope, right?" Conner continued, more convinced. "We're half-siblings, and our mothers are twins. Theoretically, the chances of our bone marrow matching are pretty high, isn't it?"

The idea made sense, but its origin shocked Sienna.

"I'm not sure," Conner said with a hopeful smile, tightening his grip on her hand. "Whether we're a match or not, Sienna, we can go to the hospital and get checked. What do you say? Is that okay?"

Sienna yanked her hand away.

Conner was confused. "Sienna?"

Sienna narrowed her eyes. "Why are you telling me all this?"

"What?" Conner didn't understand. "I'm your brother. Of course, I want to save you."

"Really?" Sienna's gaze intensified, a sharp pain throbbing in her head. This felt unreal; displaced, struggling, everything stemming from the Fischer family. Yet, their son offered to save her. She couldn't believe it.

"What do you want from me?" Sienna didn't believe in his selfless intentions. "What are you trying to getโ€”"

"Sienna," Conner offered a bitter smile. "I'm not trying to get anything from you, and I don't want to use you to get closer to the Flynn family. I just want to help you."

He continued, "My parents wronged you, and my existence has hurt you. I just want you to know that I wanted none of it, Sienna. Let me help you."

Still, Sienna couldn't fully trust him.

"Sienna, think about it. Every day you wait, your pain increases. What if it gets worse?" Conner sighed, handing her a business card. "Sienna, I'll be waiting for your call. If you need me, I'll go to the hospital with you anytime." His eyes held an unreadable expression. "I'm leaving."

He left, leaving Sienna to grapple with his words and the business card in her hand. "Conner," she mused, "Could I trust him? If the bone marrow match works, then Joyce can be saved! And I can finally get rid of Josiah!"

A day passed with no word from Josiah. Zach and Hervey searched everywhere, but found no trace of him.
