Chapter 197

Josiah gestured to the store manager to step aside. "Alright, Mr. Flynn," the manager said, quickly retreating with his team.

"Sienna," Josiah said, taking her hand in front of the glass display case. "Come, take a look. What do you like?"

Sienna raised an eyebrow, amused. "Is Mr. Flynn planning to buy me clothes?"

Josiah nodded. "Yeah." He thought, Isn't it obvious?

Sienna smiled sarcastically. "Sorry, I don't need clothes. Thanks." She tried to pull her hand away.

Josiah's tone was flat. "Sienna, didn't you say you don't like any of the clothes at Silver Beach anymore?"

Before Sienna could respond, Josiah lowered his head and apologized sincerely. "This was my mistake. I should have asked you first. I'm taking you here to choose." He pointed to the wardrobe. "What you see here is just a small selection. Take a look and tell me what style you prefer, and they can bring more options. How does that sound?"

A playful smile touched Sienna's lips.

Josiah stepped closer, his lips near her ear. "If there's anything you're not satisfied with, I'll change it until you are. Let's not break up, okay?"

Sienna tilted her head, confused. What am I supposed to say? Honestly, sometimes Mr. Flynn could be quite naive.

"You don't think filling a wardrobe with clothes will change anything, do you?"

Josiah's attitude was good, not impatient. "What else? You just say it. I'll give you whatever you want, so long as you don't break up with me, okay?"

Sienna felt uncomfortable and pushed against his chest. "Josiah, you know what Yvette likesโ€”a whole closet of clothes is her styleโ€”but you don't know what your girlfriend likes. How do you expect me to stay with you?"

Josiah froze, his eyes fixed on her face, stunned. He stammered, "That's because I've known her for many years."

"Yeah," Sienna replied.

"Give me some time," Josiah pleaded, holding her hand. "Over time, I'll learn what you like."

Sienna interrupted with a smile. "If you agree to one thing, let's forget I mentioned breaking up."

Josiah's eyes lit up, slightly anxious. "What is it? Tell me, I'll agree to anything!"

Don't make promises too soon! Sienna thought. She smiled lightly. "It's simple. Just have Yvette come and apologize to me!"

Josiah's brows furrowed. "What apology do you want from her?"

Sienna flicked her hair back, a triumphant smile in her eyes. "First, she shamelessly spent the night at my boyfriend's place! No sense of boundaries! Second, without her pancakes, we wouldn't have broken up! She's the reason for our breakup!"

"Sienna," Josiah replied.

Sienna raised her chin defiantly. "One thing, plain and simple: As long as she apologizes, I'll make up with you!"

Josiah felt overwhelmed. Impossible. I couldn't even start talking to Yvette. Even if I could, with Yvette's personality, how could she ever apologize?

Sienna curved her lips into a smile. "If you can't do that, there's another option."

Josiah looked up, hope flickering. "What?"

Sienna let out a cold laugh. "This one's even easier." She looped his tie around her fingers. "As long as you promise me from now on, you won't meet her in private and won't get involved in any of her matters. Can you do that?"

This was equally impossible. "Sienna," Josiah began to explain, "Yvette and I grew up together. She's always beenโ€ฆ"

Sienna waved him off. "Can't do it, right? If you can't, what's the point of saying so much?"

Of course, he can't do it. What I want is for him to fail, Sienna thought.

Sienna shrugged helplessly. "It's not that I don't give you a chance. It's that you have no sincerity. There's no way we can stay together." She released his tie. "You don't need me. You need a placeholder; any woman would do. With Mr. Flynn's status, can't you just wave your hand and have many women to choose from? So, let me wish you good luck in finding a new girlfriend soon. Goodbye!"

Sienna waved and left without expression. Josiah watched her go, his eyes darkening.

The next day, Sienna was taking promotional photos for the dance troupe. Rosie and the makeup artist were already there. "Rosie, am I late?"

Rosie pointed inside, pouting. "No. Not sure if we'll even get to shoot today. Let's wait and see."

"What's happening?" Sienna asked.

Rosie lowered her voice. "It's a problem with the venue. The previous team is still using it. They showed no intention of packing up. With just ten minutes left, we can't use it on time."

"It's a star," Rosie whispered, "Yvette."

Sienna's eyes widened. Yvette is a superstar!

Rosie continued. "It looks like they were shooting a commercial. Yvette had some disagreements with the director. They're at a standstill. Superstars are different; they can argue with the director."

Sienna chuckled. "I'll go to the restroom first."

Sienna headed to the restroom. Getting lost, she found herself on another filming set. She started to ask for directions, butโ€ฆ
